Default Replace Engine Mounts!!??

My car is due for it's 1 year service in a few months so I called my SA to ask if there was anything else that needed to be done. There are a couple of TSB related items, including replacing the engine mounts!!! Say what?? Has anyone else heard of this for their 992?? Thanks and sorry if this has already been covered (I did a search).

Yes, I was talking to several dealers about early 2020s and 2 of them had this done. Apparently well known? There were other items too like the woofer and coolant pump.

Mine failed the day I got the car. Drove it until it was convenient to get them swapped out. This was only a problem with the active mounts.

I had my car in for service a while back and the paperwork they gave me when I left listed motor mounts, Bose speakers, coolant pump and other stuff on a list of parts being ordered for future work. I haven't called the dealership back to schedule any service to get this stuff done and they haven't called me either. I've been too busy driving and enjoying my car.

Just very surprised about replacing the active motor mounts.....caught me off guard!! Not sure how I feel about this on a $140k car.

My car has been in for motor mounts three times. Got new Bose speakers due in on top of that, as well as a broken spark plug, and since then they have been chasing a misfire in one cylinder. I feel like I’ve been driving this base model loaner Macan more than I have my 992 4S.

My June 19 car , has never had any issue with active engine mounts ....but its going in today for them all to be changed ( and add the cover or whatever to make them not so susceptible to water ) Apparently an 8 hour at least workshop Job. i'll post whatever happens ( ie nothing to report or otherwise )
To be honest, its a darn nuisance , but hey that is what one gets for buying all this complication.

I’ve had an issue with my $330k Huracan EVO with the new rear steering. Simple fix. It sucked but **** happens on new cars.

The fact that Porsche is committed to such recall work is a good thing versus other automakers that wait for things to break and/or a certain number of customers to complain.

My June 19 car has also been trouble free. No BOSE rattle or other nonsense -- though Porsche tested even that when it was in for annual service along with the other recalls.
It doesn't bother me one bit. I've got 12k miles on mine and I appreciate Porsche's attentiveness to this stuff.

That is yet another reason (being so proactive) I am so comfortable buying Porsche's; well said.

Took my April USA build C2S 992 in about 3 weeks ago for service and the engine mounts and Bose speakers were changed. On the book they said engine mounts change was an 8 hr job but it took longer as first service of this type for local dealer. They had to drop the engine "some" and coolant was drained. Apparently the coolant system refill is subject to voids which only fill with fluid after driving some miles. The next morning after getting the car back, the low coolant level indicator message came on. I drove to dealer for top off and had to wait there nearly 2 1/2 hours for the cooling system to cool enough for safe removal of cap in order to add fluid.

Agree with this, but am just worried about fixing one thing and breaking two other things!! Certainly am happy that Porsche is committed to proactive fixes....

Dynamic Engine Mounts have been problematic for a long time. My 2014 991S had to have one replaced in 2015. They're pricey to do out of warranty, too.
