Config questions
Hello! Looking to order a 21 C4S and wanted to ask a few questions. I realize that taste is subjective but I'm asking mainly because I'd like to hear responses like "well did you think of this?" or "if you do that, make sure you choose this". Does that make sense? Car will be my DD in MN. I'd be putting about 3000 miles a year on it. First Porsche ownership.
Car will be Carrara white for sure. Wheels TBD - either black Carrara S or regular Carrara Classic. Any other great combos you white car guys like?
No sunroof. Don't like em.
Black interior with chalk stitch and chalk belts. Something to offset an all black interior.
Liking the look of the Sport Tex centers both to lighten up the interior and I think they look like the 50th anniversary car or older VW GTIs. Pics on the configurator are not great and I've never seen these in person. Do they feel like fabric? Or Alcantara? Anyone have pics they can share? Do you like them?
4 way sports seat plus (have manual adjust in my Ford GT and love it)
Sport Package with tailpipes in silver (seems the black would get lost in the rear fascia?)
Heated GT steering wheel
Storage Package
Bose
Optional Thoughts:
Rear wheel steer - what are your thoughts?
Front axle lift - have this on other cars - rarely needed unless its slammed. Is the front of this car that low?

You may want to consider some 'options' that would normally be standard on a car of this price:
- Automatic dimming mirrors and rain sensing wipers
- Folding wing mirrors
I did not bother with RWS, I drove a standard car and it was great, no issues in low speed manoeuvrability so I don't think I would notice the nuance of this option. I have not optioned front lift and I have a steep entrance on my drive, but my R8 was fine and I am expecting the 992 to be also, it does not look anywhere near as low as McLaren's or Lamborghini cars, so I am not sure its necessary. Not a big fan of black wheels so I would go Carrera Classic for a bit of contrast, but I think that's a personal taste. Sure you don't want PSE, every car I have seen seems to have it?

There is an entire thread on sport tex with pics. Just do a search.
FAL is only really needed if you plan to drop the car lower than stock and/or have driveway issues. It's cheaper to get it now than have to get it later. Discussed extensively in another thread.
Many opinions on RWS. Again, in another thread.

Thanks inastrangeland. I had gone through the first few pages of 992 threads before I posted this. I'll keep looking.
EDIT: Read the thread on the Sport Tex. Cool stuff.
