Opening the frunk with comfort access - any tricks?

I have a 991 instead of a 992, but sounds like the system is similarly quirky...
I get a big smile every time I get it to pop when intended on the first try (open the frunk, win a prize!), and get a big frown every time I wash the car and forget to stash the key out of range first...
Still, far better than the frunk issues folks are having on the new C8 Corvette with it auto-popping and flying up at speed. It has a two-stage latch, but they are BOTH electronic. Not pretty when the hood gets bent back into the windshield at 60 mph.

Comfort access - demystified. Central Locking section of Owner's Manual, page 66: "In order to prevent the battery from discharging, unused comfort functions are progressively turned off. The vehicle can then be unlocked using the vehicle key."
My hunch is that on cars that don't get driven daily, comfort access eventually shuts down, and operation of the doors and frunk reverts to the key or the lid button near the driver's door sill.

I hate the 992 door handles. mine works <30% of the time, & will occasionally refuse to extend no matter what I do.
This "feature" is a PITA & I wish Porsche offered it as an option (for those who want it).

A bit unrelated, but I just learned something new about my 991 this weekend I was previously unaware of... I guess in retrospect it's kind of obvious and most owners might already know this, but:
Pulling the emergency frunk release inside the frunk pops the rear engine cover!
As i said, makes sense, but wasn't aware...

Tried a couple of different ways and found the back of hand from bottom towards creast seems to work very well. Thanks for the suggestions!! Also, bought a $10 mini garage door opener that works 100% of the time.....but we won't talk about that!! ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
