Engine Mounts/Bose Subwoofer
#16
Don’t get to comfortable with that peace of mind.
Mine shows zero governmental reported recalls and it had three.
Call your local service dept and have them input the VIN. The NTSB is only concerned with safety matters, not bad coolant pumps, Bose woofers or magnetic fluid driven engine mounts (until they become a documented safety issue, that is). You can see my position on this matter a few responses above.
Enjoy the car in good health!
edit: Mathus is a better typist than me! We are aligned!

The NHTSA only reports safety recalls. The engine mounts are not safety related so are repaired based upon factory service bulletin. There are numerous factory service bullentins on the 992 that are mostly software updates. As last count there were about 60 for the 2020 992. Your Porsche dealer SA can look uo these factory fixes using your VIN number. I check periodically otherwise they address only at regular annual service. There is a web site discussed in another thread recently where you can see the factory service bulletins AND safety recalls but no VIN lookup utility. So, you may factory bulletins related to your particular vehicle. My 992 C2S is a April 2019 build and there have been six related notices requiring service. I advise that you have your SA look up.

Not sure if this Porsche site is one that would contain any non-safety/NHTSA recalls but it might be one place to check. I tried a few VIN's from new 911's (2019 & 2020) that I was able to copy from a local dealers website. This Porsche website said there were no open recalls on the VIN's I entered.

Today I went on 150 mi drive including some rather rough roads. I tried both normal and sport suspension (activated active engine mounts) and heard no creaks in either mode. There was just the normal muted noise of suspension working. Also no rattles.

I got the 10k service scheduled and a WKKI Recall is added. I assume it's the subwoofer, can anyone confirm?
The software update is the part that gives me pause. They "fix" one thing and break another 3

Yes, that code is the sub-woofer. Per the service bulletin that I found on line they play a test tone. In my case the service receipt says both door speakers replaced. What is your build date?

Just opened another engine mount thread as I did not see this one.....sorry! My car is an 04/19 build (I think) and has the engine mount (TSB). Was very surprised to hear this as nothing notable on the car..... Assume I will also have the Bose sub looked at as well.

‘would you have a reference to or be able to link this service bulletin? I believe my Bose speakers have this same issue. Thanks in advance
