Engine Mounts/Bose Subwoofer

Engine Mounts/Bose Subwoofer
Has anyone had this repair made? "WLD3 – Replace engine mounts and retrofit caps." Had car in for routine service and this repair was indicated for my VIN number. Also another campaign to test Bose sub-woofer for rattle using test tone. WKK1 – Check subwoofer and replace if necessary. My 992 is April 2019 build for North America. Found details concerning WKK1 on web but not the engine mount issue.

Mine is due in next month to have the engine mounts done ( UK car built around May 2019 and a UK car ) my fool OPC ( owned by the Porsche group in Germany ) have been dithering and mismanaging this and even had the car a month ago and then suddenly left this out for the next visit.
Definitely get the feeling that spending 115K GBP in cash for a car makes me small fry in their estimation. Its odd, I spent about 1/4 of that on a new Ford not long before, and they are the complete opposite in customer service and general attitude.
Porsche premium service huh .....not in a million years. My refresh plans are seriously jeopardised by their actions.
Forgot to mention, had no issue with the active engine mounts, but its a recall as many people apparently have. ..They only mentioned it when booking in for the myriad of software changes ( and that Bose thing ) ...like a .." Oh and this other one at the end of the list, we'll need it for a few days for that "..... forget proper letters/communication

Had this service done last week. The active engine mount change is a major item that I was told was an 8 hour job. They also did the test tone on the Bose speakers and replaced them in both doors. Also did first year service. They had car three days.

I had to return next day after service for coolant top-off. Apparently the system is subject to air pockets that do not clear until driven. They did a 3 mile test drive after service but not enough. The next morning I got the low coolant level warning. This was the first time for my dealer to do active engine mount change on 992.

Not that I am aware of at this time. My 120 mi since work done were on relatively smooth roads. Not far from my home is a rather rough road so I will test in next few days. This road causes noises but not creaking, only a thump. I think I read that the active engine mounts only activate in sport suspension mode maybe in super sport??? Will report back after trying that road in both suspension modes..

I’ve had the Bose replacements - sound much better.
Have an open recall on the coolant pump - will replace at annual service in a few months as a failure here can take the entire engine down.
Just learned that I, too, have the engine mount recall - thanks, Germany, well-done! I think I’m going to wait on this recall for at least another 6-9mos based upon what I am reading. Mine seem to be working fine and not leaking any of the magnetic fluid. I don’t fix what’s not broken or breaking unless it’s a mission critical part or parts. I’ll keep an eye on them as well as this forum!

The NHTSA only reports safety recalls. The engine mounts are not safety related so are repaired based upon factory service bulletin. There are numerous factory service bullentins on the 992 that are mostly software updates. As last count there were about 60 for the 2020 992. Your Porsche dealer SA can look uo these factory fixes using your VIN number. I check periodically otherwise they address only at regular annual service. There is a web site discussed in another thread recently where you can see the factory service bulletins AND safety recalls but no VIN lookup utility. So, you may factory bulletins related to your particular vehicle. My 992 C2S is a April 2019 build and there have been six related notices requiring service. I advise that you have your SA look up.
