Brilliant when it is working. Not so brilliant when it shuts down randomly with an ominous warning "ACC/PASS Not Available. Service Necessary" At this point no cruise control at all, not adaptive nor regular cruise.
As for ACC failing, I had an Audi years ago and the regular CC failed and I was left with nothing. To each his own.
Can you easily disable the various safety features of ACC? My main concern would be track days and having the system intervene, etc. Like can you set it to turn off automatically in Sport+ mode or something so you don't have to remember to do it every time you start the car sessions at the track?
Tested ACC this weekend and it worked really well. Super smooth braking from 70 down to 50 approaching traffic. After a while, I switched to the exit lane and it smoothly picked up speed. Pretty impressed (and I've tested the system in the Tesla, in slow traffic Tesla is pretty aggro).

I cannot speak for Porsche's ACC or Innodrive (although I am ordering mine with Innodrive), however our 2020 Mustang and 2020 Explorer have the radar sensing adaptable cruise control system and they both work wonderfully.
Same thing, you have to activate them in order for them to work and can adjust the following length and some other small features to your individual tastes.
I have not tried them in stop and go traffic though, at that point I don't need cruise control as I am not cruising and would rather keep it aggro and manually do the old steering and gas/brake applications.

Am finalizing my order; Anyone have experience with the adaptive cruise control? I have it on several other cars, but heard feedback that it is very sensitive and that the passive safety is kicking in too fast?
Let me know thoughts, and if I should add it to my order.
thanks!

ACC is turned off every time you restart the car. The set speed is also lost every time you restart the car. There is a master on/off switch on the end of the stalk that completely disables the system when off. Finally, just a touch to the brake pedal turns ACC off, although it will remember the set speed should you wish to re-engage it. Although I haven't tested it on my car, most every cruise control system that I've ever been acquainted with, will automatically disengage if it can't maintain road speed within ~ 5 mph of the set speed. This is done so that if for some reason the connection between the brake circuit and the cruise control system is broken, anything, such as the application of the brakes, that slows the car down more than ~5 mph from the set speed, will cause the cruise control system to automatically disengage.
As far as Tesla’s system….well, they have more serious problems of their own: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/video...llisions-video

How does it behave on the 992 if traffic stops for more than a few seconds? On my .2 Macan I have to resume manually by touching the gas pedal or bumping the lever upwards, unless the stop is very brief.
It starts up after a dead stop, when the car in front moves off. Never timed it, but this says (at about 2:30) about 15 seconds…after that, you have to push on the gas pedal.

That's what I don't like about it, you have no idea in a given situation if the car is going to take off by itself or leave you sitting there like a moron.
Still, it's an incredibly useful option, and like others have said I wouldn't order a car without it.
