Concur on the attention factor. My 991.2 TTS gets as much or more than Carrara white GT3 did.

Chalk always looks a bit dirty.

This is both good and bad.

Easier to "keep" clean. But when it's actually clean, still look a bit not clean.

But perfectly dirty, no? Like the moon rover after a quarter mile and back.

I think Chalk is probably my favorite 992 color. For some reason it fits the body in a way that metallic colors do not.

Taking that a step further, my Chalk 992 4S gets as much or more attention than my GT Silver 991 turbo cabriolet.

My car came with windows that had been tinted by the local shop that does window tinting/PPF/ceramic coating. I'm starting to wonder if the car was also ceramic coated at the same time and the dealership just didn't tell me. They did try to sell me on getting a PPF or ceramic coating during the final sales process. I've had my car since late February and it just doesn't seem to get dirty and it comes clean really easily. Plus water still beads up when I go through the touchless carwash as if the car had just been waxed.

Yeah I had an Agate Gray 991.1 on top of an Agate Gray 981S and then another 991.2 C4S in Meteor Gray....so figured a change was in order and went with Chalk, Car currently on order but hope that you guys comments hold true. I think there is only one other one in the area and saw it the other day a GTS and it was stunning. Kinda like the Fashion Gray 991.2 Turbo that was in the dealership lot when I went in to place my order. Almost went with Avernturine Gray too but chalk won out in the end.

Here it is. So far so good. Love it. Bold and tasteful and does turn heads. As folks have said does hide dirt well.

I’m considering chalk, dolomite Silver, or Carmine red for my 992. Cant decide.
Didn’t think I was a red car guy but there was a used carmine at the dealership with a deal too good to pass up. I think carmine is great. Doesn’t show the dirt. It is flat with no metallic. Not sure if that’s a dealbreaker or not. There’s just too many sliver cars out there. I’d do chalk or carmine. Just my 2¢.

I'm terrible at keeping my chalk 992 clean...every 2 or 3 months it finds a car wash. Gotta say, it never really looks horrible, though I did need to get new readers recently! Agree with the comment on non-metallic...it helps, and 911's have always worn a flat color well.

I love chalk grey...my most favorite Porsche color at the moment. I think it's a color that would never fade out of fashion. Pearl grey is a similar color and look at this 356... still looks awesome after 65 years!

I you really don't want to worry about your paint, long term, a full wrap is the best. I got the SunTek full wrap with a Ceramic coating. Maintenance is easy and care free.
