What does everyone think this will do to 991/992 values in 5, 10, 15, 20 years? Predictions?

Yeah let’s ruin this too. Everything else is turning to crap.

The way he talks about the 992, I’d imagine a hybrid won’t be announced until the next gen.
On the other hand; with 50% of the lineup by 2025 to be electrified, I’m wondering if maybe that includes the 992.2 announced with a hybrid option? Does the 50% include the 911 or is he speaking about the rest of their portfolio?
Many ways to read into this.

A new era I’m against I might I add.

I believe Germany had committed to banning ICE cars by 2030. That would mean transitioning to electric cars long before then.
The 911 platform will very likely be the last car Germany ever makes that is still ICE. But it will eventually fall.
2030 is only 10 years away and 911 generations typically last ~10 years between the .1 and .2 iterations.
I'm pretty sure the 992 is it.

Most of the major markets in Asia are planning outright bans, if not major reductions in petrol cars in this same time period. For such a low volume car, it seems unlikely Porsche would make a completely different 911 just for America. I'd think they wouldn't want their electric version to suffer in the comparison. Better to put their entire engineering and marketing department behind one car.
But I'm just some dude on the internet, so what do I know. I hope the ICE lives. I don't like electric cars - they are boring as hell!

It looks like 992.2 will inevitably have hybrid option, we will have to see if there’s still a fully gas powered model. We may have a collectible car here with time. Last fully gas powered 911. I think I’m going to keep this car a long time, and I am a serial car trader.(it’s a disease)

I think the most likely scenario here is that the 992.2 GT3 RS, GT2 RS, and Turbo S will get a hybrid system like what you can buy from Vonnen for the 991 (i.e. performance electric motor sandwiched between the engine and the transmission coupled with a small battery). The weight increase for the Vonnen system is about 170 lbs, and I bet a Porsche OEM system can get the weight increase down to 120 lbs or so. I don't think a 120 lbs would be a deal-breaker for Porsche or its customers, especially if the performance increase is significant.
The 2026 next generation 911 (994?) will probably go to full PHEV across the line up.

That would be efficiencies of scale suicide.

Personally, I look forward to a hybrid 911 as long as it is NA+EV (not FI+EV).
