Can I ask, is the lid liner just decorative or does it serve another purpose?

It protects your frunk lid from dimples if you overfill it. It is decorative, too, giving the funk lid a more finished look. I use mine for long trips and pack the frunk full, so it serves as a piece of protection for me.

In my opinion, (I have one) they are a more useful addition than Porsche Crest Tire Valve Stem Caps but probably not as aesthetically pleasing as a nice License Plate Frame.

Though the limited discount is no longer available, we expect to have additional inventory next week.

We appreciate the great response!

Hi Jim, thanks for your continue support and updates. Can you please comment on what your company has planned for the new 992 GT3 and carbon hood? Thank you.

We are currently working on modifications to to the 718. We have no plans to fit a part to a carbon hood, as with the rear Spyder, it is not subject to the potential damage the way aluminum/steel are.

Will post updates and additions as they become available.
Thanks!

Default In stock.

Just received this from Suncoast. Only took a few minutes to install. But the push in plugs did take a little finessing. Seemed a little too big for the slots.

I must be the most DIY challenged person in this thread, because I literally gave up trying to get the plugs pushed into the slots. They're just too big. I literally felt like I was gonna warp the hood I was pressing so hard. I give up.

No, just give them a slight turn and they will go in. Keep rotating a bit, push, repeat if necessary. They will go in.

I initially had the same concern. Start with the center plugs and twist clockwise and push gently. When I twisted it popped in with a click. You can adjust to make sure you get it centered correctly.
