Just curious why so many are interested in this. Is there a big problem with the underside of the frunk lid getting damaged by placing items in there? I haven't really noticed this, but then I don't haul around a lot of tall and heavy stuff.

By adding this, specifically if you might use it as a DD, protects that area. I usually do not load a ton, even though it is my DD - but it does not take much to dent that area, just a little extra safety.

If you carry things and have just a little above the max (and you don't know it is just above), it puts a nice dent in that area - which you will see, since it is bare metal (only the metal of the frunk is there in that spot and it is pretty thin).

Right. Also, sometimes it's not overpacked so much as to cause a dent, but you might have something that could rub the paint. I also like how it finishes the underside of the lid - looks good and is lightweight. They are so simple to install and in the realm of Porsche mods, this one is inexpensive. I also have the funk well liner because I do take long trips in mine and like to put my luggage in there, out of sight. That funk can hold a lot if packed properly.

I still don’t have mine. It was supposed to arrive Thursday according to USPS, then it didn’t arrive and rescheduled for yesterday, didn’t arrive, and now rescheduled for today. Our postal service really sucks nowadays. Ben Franklin would not be happy.

That must be difficult to have your car so close to being delivered. Want me to drive it up?

If it don't leave the dealer by Wednesday, you're on.
Seems two weeks is planned. A week (in sealed truck) cross country and another week between waiting in Bellingham and a boat trip (in sealed connex) to Anchorage. Then a buddy and I drive down loaded with winter tires, overnight, try and beat the Red Bull tire change record at the Anchorage Port, and a leisurely 400 mile drive back up North.
Just hope for reasonable weather...given that it's April 3 and we're expecting 18 inches of snow... it will be a memorable baptism; 40 years since my last 911!
