Default no manual transmissions for sale?

i've done a nationwide search and there are 0 manual transmission 992s for sale (on cars.com). are dealers not stocking these cars; only custom order? i want to test drive one before ordering it.

No 992 manuals (Carrera S cabs) available at any US dealer, had to order mine, but look at this:

I wish the dealer would make up their mind. The top of the page clearly states it is a 7 speed MANUAL transmission but then about half a page down it says:

I not sure how many of us (manual owners) ACTUALLY got to test drive one; I know I DIDN'T and it's a good thing I didn't wait since it has already taken me 4 months to get it without waiting (once it gets here the end of July). You may have to rely on the YouTube video above. This will be the 4th manual Porsche we've owned and I have enjoyed all of them although I preferred some more than others.

Good luck.

and i think thats the issue.. they are being listed as auto when in reality they are manual. i had the exact opposite problem when i was looking for a manual 991.2...

If it's the manual part you want to try just test a 991.2, it's pretty much the same drivetrain.

When I was looking in March (and finally found 1). There were 2 total available in the US. The one catch you have to do more research almost dealer by dealer. Many of them listed (on Cars.com, CarGuru, etc.) is that 1 of the 2 I found actually had them listed as PDK not Manual in the listing. Therefore I passed right over them. When I got on the dealer site, and looked at the pics, I found my car that I ended up buying. The same car was on Cars.com, but listed as Auto. If I did not go on the dealer specific site, I would not have found it.

Somebody mentioned that the dealers are doing that on purpose to hold them back, make the unsearchable. I have no reason why they would do that, but just threw it out there for discussion.

Look at this one, very nice:

By the way, that is where I ended up with getting my 992 MT. What a great experience, took about 3 minutes to negotiate a deal and a good one at that! They took care of everything quickly. Had the car within the week, and they did free delivery as well in a nice enclosed trailer. Kyle was my Sales Rep, good dude. Beachwood Porsche, as I have come to find out through my conversations - are one of the few enthusiast dealers, that actually specifically order MT's for their lot, they actually have the reps work through what options to order, etc. to make the best build. Pretty cool that they specifically order enthusiast cars for their lot.

I just came back from test driving this car. It had under 100 miles on it. Nice build but no surround view.
I deal with Brad Kennett there - known him since the Stoddard days. Good guy.
