I have a 991.2 base Carrera that I used a COBB Accessport on. Simply
love the results, snappiness, and increased response. Love the idea of something I can put, take off, and back to original within a few min without having to do anything but to plug a device. I’m about to order a new 992 base Carrera and was surprised to be told by COBB that they don’t have it available
nor do they have any idea when or if they’ll have it. Anyone can suggest something similar??

I believe Mitch used to work for Cobb. I'm sure he will have something in the near future. My son-in-law is currently working with him on tuning an Audi RS3.

I got the same response. Honestly not too surprised - it’s a brand new platform which they need to crack (from my understanding), and COVID probably didn’t help. I’ve had similar experiences in the past that they don’t give timelines on in-development projects. It’s unfortunate because they will probably be the only hand held flash option.

My 992 C2S will be at @M Engineering next week for tuning on their wind tunnel dyno. Should be interesting to see what kind of power they can put down with the BMC filters + Kline cat bypass. I'll update this thread once I have some before and after dynos to look at. My guess is WHP will fall somewhere between Turbo and Turbo S range.

Interesting note: I'm not sure if M-engineering wants to share more info but I was told they have already tuned their shop 992 C2S on E85. It put down some impressive numbers but the tune is not ready for prime time. E85 is coming to the 992 folks!

E85 is fun. I had a F80 M3 on E85 and it was bad *** fun! It sure drank it real quick though. But it sure was worth it! Super excited for you @but did you die

I ran E85 on my RS3 with a unitronic stg 2 tune and hardware, it was amazing! Pretty much 200 hp and 200 tq increase. you are right it burns fast ;-)

oh let’s see...

pros...

1. much higher octane = more power
2. has cooling effect on combustion compared to gasoline, better for engine
3. lower emission/better for environment (if such things matter to you)
4. A big f*** you to big oil as it’s primarily made from corn and grain
5. depending on where you live much cheaper! In San Diego it’s almost half the price of 91
6. Tailpipe emission actually smells good...like kettle corn or funnel cakes lol

cons...

1) a decrease of gas mileage of 10-20% as it’s less efficient than 91. This partially offsets the cheaper pump price
2) evaporates quicker so you lose more to evaporation in storage
3) far fewer gas stations to chose from
4) you have to tune and drain tank and lines to convert to E85. Your fuel system has to be able to support it (it’s much more demanding on fueling capacity). Can no longer use 91

To be honest I'm interested in seeing torque improvement in the low-RPM range. Most of the time I'm driving in the city and that's the kind of driving that would benefit the most from a bump in torque at traffic-RPM. I was disappointed to see that the 991.2 offered a higher torque output at the 1500-2000 range.
