I have to back Mike up on installation. My Service Advisor said they would not install another brand because of fitment issues. The mechanic said it took him almost as much time to get my car on the lift, than the install. They charged me 280$ for install. My wife is a car girl 2018 Audi TTRS and she said when she was driving home next to after picking car up it was a significant change in tone. You do not notice in normal mode, it is when you go into sport mode huge change. They guys at Soul where spot on it was well worth the money.

We did recently get third party dyno results from CBTuning with before and after runs on a Dyno Dynamics dyno with factory setup and then SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes and CBTuning ECU tune. Increases of over 100 whp and 215 ft-lbs of torque almost immediately in the power band completely changed the drivability of the vehicle!

Thank you!

Just for clarity, these are pipes with no cats, not the 200 CEL cat pipes, correct?

We back purge our welds with Airgas ARCAL™ Prime argon - extremely pure. This ensures the welds have proper penetration without sugaring on the inside. We build and back our exhaust components for track use so the welds must be durable. Curious about back purging and how it effects the welds? Check out our article on it here. Our Signature Satin finish not only allows us to get a unique, uniform finish - but it's also part of our quality control.

On value - We're fighting to maintain the best possible pricing with the rising cost of materials, particularly the HJS catalytic converters themselves. As we grow we will look for more ways to increase our efficiency without compromising our quality - only adding to it. We do our best to prevent raising prices on existing products wherever possible. Stop in sometime again, Drew, I'd love to show you what we've got cooking since your last visit!

You should not need to remove the bumper for installation.

If anyone has any questions please let us know! We always invite you to call us to chat about your needs before making any decisions, it would be a pleasure to see if we can meet your needs or recommend a course of action to elicit the best driving pleasure.

Thank you!

I'm probably late to the party. But the Soul Performance Cats for the 991.2 had provisions for installation of the stock heat shields and the Cats for the 992 do not. Can anyone shed some light on this? Soul?

Is there any risk to the warranty when installing these?

What about aftermarket exhaust in general?

Are these CARB-compliant? Will the car pass CA smog emissions test after installation?

The 991.2 Carrera heat shields are more for protecting the engine bay from the heat generated by the turbochargers. The 992's heat shields are general thin clam shells over the catalytic converters and they are more to lock heat in and light the catalytic converters up faster. The factory shields can not be reused with larger HJS cat cores due to their size and location of the O2 bungs. The 992 has ample heat shielding in place around the catalytic converters (and plenty of space) to prevent heat soak and any potential damage. If anyone is concerned we have a great relationship with Jet-Hot and can get them ceramic coated.

As these do alter an emissions device, they would not pass visual inspection in CA. They are not CARB certified.

The dealership cannot flat out void your warranty over a modification but could attempt to deny any warranty claims that may stem from your modification(s). If something in your interior breaks, they can't blame it on the exhaust mods. When in doubt, ask your dealership. We have some dealerships that will sell and install our parts. Some will not. Every dealership is different and we encourage you not to leave it up to chance or someone’s opinion – speak to your dealership(s) before proceeding with any modifications if you are still under warranty so that there are no surprises.

Nice. well done. BTW had my dealership install the Akrapovic exhaust on my 991.1 when I did the swap out...had not problem doing in and actually said it was one of the best aftermarket exhaust they had done/seen. Master technician appreciated the sound and fitment especially. But I know my Audi dealer here will not touch anything not ordered by them and Audi due to past "fitment" issues. Can understand to a degree but otherwise sometimes seems as a way for a dealership to push OEM only upgrades/products also.

I stopped by the local Porsche dealer where I will ultimately be taking my 992 at least for the first service and if I have any warranty issues. Did not purchase the car through them. Asked them about the Soul Cats and he didn't know shi%. Said their position is, anything not carb approved is a problem . So my question is ,if there is a problem, and you swap the cats back to stock, provided there is no other modifications like a tune, will the pcm pick up the aftermarket cats for the dealer to see?

You should not experience any issues for the dealer to see. That said, our exhaust components are not CARB approved.
