I may be in the minority, but I already find the interior to be too quiet for my taste. I understand those that would like to hear more engine, and less tire roar... but this is a 911. Not a mini-panamera.

Does the insulated glass you’ve encountered have the UV protection properties? Was it on a Panamera? I’m still trying to determine if the insulated glass available on Panamera is same as available on 992... They each have different descriptions on the website.

My 992 is 2020 model, so insulated glass was unavailable for my car. But my wife's 971 Panamera has option Thermally & Noise Insulated Glass with tinted rear windows. This type of glass has better UV protection, then base glass, it feels on front windows, which doesn't have dark tint. I know only one disadvantage of this option - bad works of external remote control.

I like it for the weight savings, which helps swallow the 992 weight increase. Never mind the noise reduction. Also why I didn’t add a sunroof. Just could not justify the $4k for CF roof, but, would love to have one.

Not missing the point - there is a reason why Porsche is moving the 911 in the direction of a quiet, more comfortable GT car; to appeal to the increasing number of people who value those attributes. Porsche makes plenty of models without sound insulation and with loud exhaust systems to please buyers like you. Having said that, I can't understand how quieter glass will keep tire roar out of the car. I'm betting 95% of the noise is coming through the wheel well structure and into the cabin.

Pretty sure this is meant to reduce noise outside the car. If there is noise generated within the structure, it would have no effect. "improves interior acoustics by minimizing external noises such as tire and wind noise." Tire noise can be reflected off other cars or other surfaces outside the car.
