The majority of our 992 US customers have no issues. It mostly depends on how quickly you heat up the cats.
Cold cats don’t function properly so starting the engine and let it warm up slowly and driving off at very low rpm won’t heat up the cats at all.
You can also use a hand held device like the iCarsoft POR V2.0 if a CEL pops up.
Somewhat echoing Stef's comments - the tune I'm running does not delete the cold start cycle so it idles pretty high for a couple of minutes to warm up the cats. As I understand it, the cold start cycle is for both warming the cats and providing some additional lubrication by running rich at start up. So I assume keeping the cold start cycle active helps reduce the risk of a CEL while maintaining the cat ready status but I could be wrong...

thx,
bc

I thought the europipe cats will not fit GPF (EU) models unless you purchase the europipe full exhaust (cats + catback)?

Will europipe’s cats fit my Akra slip on with no CEL for a GPF monitored car (in Asia)?

That’s good to know. I have a ‘22 “S”.

We do offer sport cats for the OPF model cars (not on our website) and no CEL for the cats but you do get a CEL for the OPF delete because the differential pressure is incorrect.
On our full system the differential pressure is correct so no CELs.

Thanks Stef.

in case I’m still confused, so the Akra slip on + europipe cats setup is considered an OPF delete which triggers a CEL, while the stock PSE + europipe cats will not trigger a CEL?

On EU cars and all others with OPF:
Europipe 100 cell sport cats + Stock exhaust or PSE = CEL for the OPF delete
Europipe 100 cell sport cats + Akra slip on = CEL for OPF delete
Europipe full system with 100 cell sport cats and OPF delete = no CEL

I have a new 2024 911 GTS here in the US. Would I get a CEL with your 100 cell cats? Also thoughts on 100 vs 200 cell cats?

I can’t garantee a no CEL, I’m sorry. It depends on how quickly the cats heat up on cold start. Either way, the emission results are excellent when the cats are warm.

We use ø130mm 100 cell cats and that’s the OEM diameter. The 200 cell aftermarket cats that are used on the 992 Carrera are smaller than stock - about a 15% smaller cross section so they are more restrictive by their cell count and by their size. I don’t use these just because of that. There’s also 300 cell cats used by Akra and a couple of other brands. The 300 cell cats are used on the stock OEM 996 Turbo and all the other Porsches of that time.

I had the Soul cats installed on my 2018 Carrera S for about 4yrs and about 11k miles and never had a problem with them.

I just sold the car with them and new buyer was amazed on how good they sound in both normal and sport mode.

I have the oem cats which have less than 14k miles when taken off the car, I would like to sell them

What do used oem cats go for today?
