I’ve not used this, but sounds like that rubbery stuff on playgrounds. Can be placed on a membrane, so therefor can be removed. You can make it the width and length you need by how much you purchase. In your case, don’t believe cross drain needed.

Macmac, How bad are the scrapes, can you post some photos? Do you have the sport design front bumper? If it’s just the matte black plastic lip on the standard bumper, that’s easy & cheap to replace if they can level the ramp so it doesn’t happen again.

get something that looks nice and permanent and durable and just install it one night... as long as it doesn't look awful people will just drive over it and never think much about it. I did this at an apartment building I lived in and nobody ever said a thing... its probably still there.

The easiest option I see is to remove the SPASM lip and get the standard one instead

I think he needs more clearance than that.

Jam a removable rubber wedge into the front springs like a NASCAR pit crew?

What a poor entrance....there has to be other people hitting their front ends but they may not care....if HOA could survey to show ownership about the issue. You should work closely with HOA on this challenge and have owner or HOA funds fix this really poor entrance and exit ramp...at their cost.....as they must have a budget for building repairs..

I would think this would have a negative impact on the developer's sales at this complex--maybe they're not aware of the problem. I would follow this advice.

Just bought a 992 last weekend and have a similar issue: Can't get it in the driveway b/c of angle. Go with this type of solution...

Even though you live in a condo - just pay a similar company 100-200 bones to lift and fill it. Bet the condo board won't say a thing since you did their job for them.

Hope it helps!

The FAL system is a must have if you're experiencing these problems. I too have a very steep driveway into my basement parking, and some of my low riding sedans don't get in without bottoming out. But the 992 with FAL is a dream.

In fact, I took the car to the countryside, and through some very terrible roads, (image attached), and with the FAL on the whole way, didnt scrape or bottom out. Really recommend this option for those dealing with poor tarmac and surfaces.

Have a look under the front lip and check for damage - I thought I’d badly scraped out the bumper several times but after jacking the front up there was barely a scratch / the front lip is quite a flexible plastic rather than more rigid FG

Can FAL be retrofitted by the dealer? I had it done on my first 991 GT3 and was pretty reasonable all things considered.

You may want to experiment with approach angles on the driveway and definitely take it slow. From the picture, it doesn’t look that terrible. I have been through parking garages in the city that were similarly treacherous in my 992 C4S w/SPASM. Given that this is “home”, you could also try going up it backwards — that tends to be easier.

Yes, FAL would be helpful, but even with FAL, if it’s really steep, you can’t just simply drive it straight on. I wouldn’t bother shuffling to a FAL car unless you could verify that it cleared. Even then, it’s a lot of expense.

And yes, this could be an opportunity to better know your condo organization and make the case for regrading the ramp. You’re probably not the only one with a low car there.

Good luck!
Yeah agree I had a Bridgit solution for my rental house in WA a few years ago and it did the trick for a rounded but steep gutter-driveway angle but man they are built to stay put once you put them down. Mine hardly every moved and didn't come up till I took them apart to pack them up when I moved. They are made heavy duty reused tire/rubber and built to take the weight of a vehicle and abuse from running over it multiple times. Great product...quite sturdy. If you put it down you're not likely gonna be moving it around so since it doesn't hurt any other cars I'd talk to management and sort of make it my 'Gift" to the building and other owners if the okay it and let it stay. Otherwise I am probably selling my condo vs leaving my car on the street and walking to my apt every day...that would get old quick too!

Other option is FAL retorfit...I know I think Tech Art had one for the 991 series so how much would it be to add OEM or maybe aftermarket to the 992?
