I think it's Gentian only because Porsche's extra cost Special Colors are designed to be distinctive. No one confuses Miami with Gentian or Chalk/Crayon with White. The simple fact that there's a question as to whether this is Gentian or Special Color Shark means it isn't a Special Color imo.

Agreed. If that's Shark Blue, it's way too similar to Gentian for a special color.

It is a good point indeed. I wonder what color this is then if not Shark Blue, some PTS shade?

It would be just a bit strange to use a PTS in a brochure as a example of what Exclusive Manufaktur can do for a normal car. Or would it? I think usually the brochure cars have been from the normal color palette.

Also, the Special colors are non-metallic

This is not gentian. Maybe Sapphire or a new colour since sapphire is no more.

I don't know if that is always true. E.g., I seem to recall Carrera GT Silver as a special color at one time?

its not , PTS was (and may still be) available for both non and metallic paints, it was for 991.2 GT3 at least

Fair point. GT Silver was a Special Color for a very long time.

Good point - maybe wishful thinking that shark is not another metallic blue.

it was hard to tell from the superbowl ad, but the 992 GT3 certainly looked like it may have been metallic ...

I think we may have to wait until its release to see shark blue also

Hmmm...if it's indeed the pics from those posted back in May it looks more powder-blue(ish). Reminds me of a 90s Buick. Too harsh? I'm keen to see what this looks like, but regardless I'm happy I was able to get my Miami Blue 992 before they stopped it. Love MB.
