True...a 95 993 Carrera came in at 3,080 lb. (curb) vs. a 21 992 Carrera at 3,354 lb. (curb). A difference of 274 lb...not bad for 25 years of progress and tons of added safety/tech. Many cars in that class are pushing close to 4k lb.

The color of the Belgian Legend Edition is different, a darker shade of blue, than the one in the aerokit picture. Both nice colors though!

Edit: OT but I just noticed there seems to be an ongoing online bidding for this particular special edition vehicle that I yesterday randomly googled and linked (in case someone's interested). Apparently, a Belgian private collector is selling it: https://www.carsanddrive.com/ Almost 300k€ has already been bid, although it's such a shame if this beautiful car just ends up collecting dust somewhere....

Whatever the aerokit car color is, I’m digging it. That’s a great blue.

Folks also forget that the 996 weighed LESS than the 993 despite having a water cooled engine. It came in at under 3,000 lbs.

Manual transmission 992: 3262 lbs (180 pounds more than the 993)

Amazing, considering all the safety tech that is now mandated.

Thank god for aluminum, high strength plastics and to some extent carbon.

For sure.

I wonder when this new color is supposed to be introduced? The last I looked Miami Blue was still up, but isn’t it out of production?

Interesting. Good info. Probably a more "fair" comparison would be the 993 Turbo (from an HP perspective, since both are over 408 HP and both have turbos) and IIRC the 993 Turbo was over 3,300 pounds.

This color is available through PTS but will cost you assuming you can get a build slot. i believe it is currently just called 39E without the L. Not sure what the "L" designated in the original color code though.

This pic seem to show a blue paint at the seam lines of the wrap... Looks fairly close to Cornflower.
