992 Areokit
#31
This has been an issue for 991.2 Turbo owners with very similarly exposed radiators. Not that it happens all the time but a handful of rennlisters ended up with holes and even being stranded. After reading this, I got aftermarket screens for mine. GT cars with similar bumpers come with screens from the factory.

I've placed an order with the Aerokit back in late February and had 2nd doubts days later. But viewing the latest pictures of the actual kit on the new 992 that are being delivered convinced me that I made the right choice. Here are a couple of more pictures of the Aerokit that I found on the internet for those who are still in doubt:
The white 992 with the clear taillights looks stunning!

The new Aerokit has been engineered at Porsche’s development centre in Weissach where experts spent months optimizing the design and function. Prototypes were carefully honed in Porsche’s wind tunnel to ensure that the Aerokit fully delivers on its striking visual promise of reducing the uplift forces over both front and rear axle. The intensive development phase also included hot and cold climate testing around the world. More than 90,000 on road endurance kilometres were covered, while the Aerokit was also fine-tuned on the race track in Nardo with a total of 55,000 km of high speed testing.

I think it looks great. It's funny how the GT3 crowd goes all crazy about wingless GT3 version while many of non-GT buyers are ready to pay extra for having more of a wing. I'm closer to the second group - to me the wing just visually balances the car.

I completely agree. The wing for me adds visual balance to the basic design. Although the basic 911 shape is classic, it’s always looked off to me without a wing, whether it be a duck tail, whale tail or the current versions of wings. I would definitely get the aerokit on a 992 Carrera. I’m so glad they’re offering it again.
