If that has met your financial objectives, then good on you. Most individual investors don't have the time, inclination, or savvy to follow investment possibilities that closely and therefore must rely on financial advisors--some are certainly better than others and, yes, they make a fee, which is worth it if they steer you in the right direction. If they don't, make a change.
