Default Ambient Lighting

I can't seem to find photos of the ambient lighting option anywhere online. Has anybody checked off this box on their order?

I'm curious about this too. I did not get on my C2S since I understood it only added some dimmable white LED lights but no color options. Standard interior lighting is adequate IMHO.

It just gives you some additional LED lighting in the car (especially the rear)...

Honestly, this shouldn't be a separate option on a $100k+ car. This should just be standard. I would understand if it gave you the option to change colors (like the Mercedes system), but this doesn't even have that!

The effect is very subtle, but it's nice to have the car not completely dark inside at night. Yes, it should be standard or at least, be standard with the premium package.

Compared to other cars, it adds very little on the Porsche 992. I have Subaru Ascent Touring for daily driver and it has standard ambient lighting that is very nice. Example is soft blue rings around cup holders and subtle light highlights in a number of places on lower dash and doors.

“Real” ambient lighting (such as that which is available in the Cayenne) cannot be optioned on the Carrera models but for some strange reason can be optioned on the new Turbo S. If you look at Porsche’s marketing pictures they show it and it is available on the configurator. Should be standard across the range.

Unfortunately I always tick the box with every 911 I buy thinking this time, it will be worthwhile

interesting... can you point to pics with it on the turbo? Maybe makes its way to the Carrera cars for the .2

I noticed this too. Apparently the multi-color ambient lighting is only an option on the new Turbo S (so far). It allows you to switch between 7 colors.

Soo disappointed it wasn’t offered on the earlier cars. Perhaps Porsche will provide for a retrofit?

Thanks! That would certainly justify the cost of the option.

I’m pretty annoyed Turbo S gets multi-colour lighting after paying the $600 for this option on my C4S
