992 PSE Programming IS Possible

This is fantastic, thanks for sharing. Hope to pick up my 2021 today which has the sport design package with the rear diffuser and the black sport tailpipes, but no PSE (strange choice). Glad to hear I don't need to go through the same headache as the 991 non PSE!

Burning Brakes
Is the PIWIS something only Porsche dealers have? Or do some indy shops also have this? Both dealers in Atlanta will not do anything like this for you, I guess because PNA is headquartered here and they do not want to get in trouble.

I haven't heard PSE, back to back, but I am pretty happy with my Quad Tip Non-PSE setup with the functionality to Turn on the valves. Per SA, PSE sounds louder though he also liked the subtle deep bass on this setup. This looks like a no-brainer for someone who likes the quad setup and does not want too loud sound of PSE or wants to install another exhaust. The caveat is finding a tuner or a friendly dealership.
Even though I didn't like the shroud of the diffuser in the pictures and was feeling bad about missing adding the gloss black option and PSE, physically, this Quad setup and normal black (standard), look pleasing to me and gels beautifully with colour.

I had my local dealer do this to my 992 and it works great. However, the shortcut button where the normal exhaust button would be isn't programmable anymore. I can long press it and it lets me program the steering shortcut but not the dash one. I thought maybe that button would now control the exhaust but it doesn't. The Porsche tech said he didn't see any options when programming for that button and the system may think it's for the exhaust but it's wired differently so it doesn't actually control the exhaust. Any ideas?

Someone posted in one of the PSE threads that he had to have the physical PSE button cluster installed to get the button functionality to work.

Interesting... I would expect the shortcut button to still work and be programmable. Wonder what makes the PSE button different for it to work. Is it a basic swap or requires new wiring?

Another and slightly better option is to just get a Cargraphic Valve Controller and not worry about programming and such and then you will be able to make ANY muffler you have louder by allowing the valves to open 100%. Remember kids, PSE is still controlled by the car/Porsche programming, and does not allow 100% open valves. Just a thought.....
