Sounds nice. Why do they need to cut revs at 4k rpm in neutral? Makes no sense. “Sir, you cant be a hooligan. Heres 500 hp.”

Sport Cats if you want sound, added HP and response is a no brainer.

Initially, I considered doing a full exhaust swap (like Akrapovic). But I didn't want to spend a ton of extra $$ (especially when the Porsche sport exhaust is already pretty great). I just wanted some additional volume to the exhaust. So I decided to go with the Sport Cats. I considered both Soul and Fabspeed, but in the end I went with Fabspeed. I ordered thru Vivid Racing and they were great to work with.

Overall, I am very pleased with the sound. In normal mode there isn't much of a difference. But in Sport mode it really comes alive. You get a lot more burbles from the exhaust (and overall it is a little louder). Sport Plus also seems louder but no burbles from the exhaust. I haven't noticed much difference in performance (probably because the Carrera S is already insanely fast). Here are a few pics and a short video of the exhaust:

Glad you are happy! The cats make all the difference in that system. Porsche has a great design from factory, sport cats add the icing on the cake!!

Is there a big difference in sound in the interior, and than particularly between 2000 and 4000 rpm?

Yes, I have noticed quite a bit more sound in Sport / Sport Plus mode. No drone, just more of the exhaust note comes thru. Normal mode is the same.

Been doing some research on adding sport cats to 21 C2S. Guys at Fabspeed have been great and professional addressing my questions. They state they have sold 40 sport cats for C2S owners thus far. No CEL issues yet. However what qualifies as an issue is murky, and seems dependent on them accessing ECU data for this “no CEL guarantee” (cat efficiency) to be honored. Can’t seem to get a clear indication upon CEL I’ll be refunded my money on an otherwise stock 992. Soul straight up says they are still 50/50 on a CEL issues for their sport cat, appreciate their honesty. They have a good rep. Europipe is advertising a new 992 100 cell CAT with an explicit money back no CEL guarantee, 4 year warranty. It’s a smidge more $, plus duty. Few folks are installing it now. Too soon to say, but it could be a future front runner.

Any of you Fabspeed guys with no CEL issues, model years 21+? Fabspeed did not have that info. It’s seems MY20 is more friendly to this mod. I’m inclined to roll the dice with them with some knowledge their spot cat performs as advertised for MY21+.

Thanks. Matt

I too am in the market for some sport cats. Any comments from ‘21+ owners with Fabspeed cats that can comment on CEL?

Soul is 50:50 on having a cel? That’s too bad.

How much did it cost you including install? Does it void any warranty. Thank you

Depends on your dealer. Some will say it will, others don’t. I chatted with my dealer and the shop manager said as long as it doesn’t throw a cel, it won’t. As far as install, my local Porsche shop quoted me $670. How about you OP?

😱😱😱It took me about 90 mins the first time because of the terribly positioned v-clamps that are meant to be loosened with the bumper off, but I arranged those for easier access when reinstalling and honestly don't think it would take but 45 mins or so now... geez.

My dealer is the same, says no violation unless CEL. They quoted me a whopping $1200 because "in order to replace the cat, the bumper needs to come off and the camera needs to be recalibrated, according to the official Porsche 992 repair guide". lol

Sport Cats really open up the 992! I've got a set of Sport Cats for sale (used for 6 months prior to selling the car). DM me if interested.

Agree, shouldn’t take too long. I’ve struggled to get the v-clamp off as well. I’ve used a vise grip to try and loosen the bolt from the bottom to no avail. Im going to bite the bullet and take her into the shop.
