Default Is Miami Blue going away?

I notice in the new TTS configurator that MB is not an option. Does this suggest that it will be going away from the other 992s starting with the 2021 model year?

Apparently, it's a color choice that has struggled. I've always liked it, but my SA and others say that they have a hard time selling Miami Blue cars.
I had originally spec'd Miami Blue with 992, but ended up going Aventurine Green -- a color that I love and doesn't appear to be very common.

I remember reading somewhere that there was a new blue coming to the Porsche lines to replace it. I'll update if I find the source. The Taycan is getting Neptune Blue, which is more similar to Sapphire.. so maybe that will be added to the 992s as well?

You might be right, perhaps Miami Blue's days are numbered. Maybe they think Night Blue and Gentian Blue add up to two "blues" and that ought to be enough blues in the palette (even Dolomite is blue-ish) even if none of them are bright and eye-catching like Miami Blue. Personally, I miss Graphite Blue even more.

We do have Python Green now for the TTS, though, so there's that. I like it better than recent similar shades of bright green they've offered (e.g. Mamba and Lizard).

Unlike the Base/S 992s, they are showing PTS as an option on the TTS - for the low, low price of only $12,830!

My all-time favorite color is Mexico Blue. When I first started playing with the configurator PTS showed up but for $12k or whatever it was a non-starter for me, and Miami Blue scratches the itch. The local dealer has a .1 GT3 RS in Mex Blue that’s pretty flippin’ sweet.

I love Miami Blue, but definitely biased. I do not like it on anything other than GT cars though. Too bright for the normal stuff IMO. Hopefully they take it away now that I have one. haha. I will admit though that I had 4-5 other colors I wanted but PTS wasn't available.

It’s available on the Carrera models, just not Turbo S.

I heard there was a guy that bought up all the Miami Blue paint, for trim work, and there's none left?

I love the color, and am considering it for a 993 build, or Guards Red, back and forth I go. Porsche needs exotic color, it is part of their history, and it would be sad to see them go away.

I am not overly impressed with the color selections today; grays, silvers and black. Drive around and all you see are those colors everywhere. And white. I have white. It's everywhere. Porsche needs unique color schemes. Needs.

Posted by some time ago, but worth looking at the varying blue (turqoisey) colors. Nice....

From left to right: Riviera Blue, Miami Blue, Mexico Blue
