Default Winter - Non staggered setup?

I purchased a winter wheel/tire set for my 991.2 C4S cab. I have a 992 C4S cab on order and I'm wondering if I can use the same wheels/tires. I know the 992 has staggered 20"/21" inch wheels but for winter wheels you can use 19"/20" or 20"/21".

My question is can I use non staggered 20" (20" for all 4)? Bonus question...are the TPMS sensors the same for 991.2 and 992? I have 433MHz sensors for the 991.2 set.

Here's what I have:
FRONT
20X8.5 5-130 ET47 wheel
245/35R20 tire

REAR
20X11.5 5-130 ET59 wheel

295/30R20 tire

Thanks!

Pay attention to the overall diameter front/rear. I think the 991 expects similar diameters front/rear, but I think the 992 expects larger rear diameter than front which can have consequences on the electronics (ABS, PSM, gearing, etc).

If you keep the 20” wheels on the 992, you may want to use rear tires with a higher sidewall to preserve the overall diameters. This also has the side benefit of improving snow performance.

Maybe there's a setting in the PCM for matching 20" winter tires?

No, don’t think so. It’s up to owner to use taller 20” tires than those used on 991.

you Can do this, but need to get new rear tires. Have to go with 35 sidewalls instead of the 30’s on the 991. The tpms is different too. I tried this for my car, but gave up and negotiated a reduced price on the factory 19/20 setup

Thanks, I had a feeling it wouldn't be simple. Seems a new 19/20 setup is the way to go.

I used the 20in original front size (245/35R20) and the original winter rear size (295/35R20). They have an overall diameter is roughly the same (theoretically the same on paper). My dealer installed my winter wheels for delivery and don't advise me of any problem. Certainly they did not congratulate me on my choice of aftermarket wheels. I used a set of aftermarket TPMS and it work very well. Notice than I have a RWD (C2S) so was not worried of potential problem with all wheel drive synchro

Hopefully TireRack will starting getting more wheels for the 992. They currently only have O.Z. Leggera HLT wheels in either gray or black in the 20"/21" staggered set-up and the black wheels are out of stock at the moment. My preference for all of my cars is to have a set of nice but cheap winter wheels/tires and change them over myself when winter comes around.

It's not necessary to have 21's in rear if you select the correct tire size (low profile tires are worse in snow anyway).

TireRack doesn't show any 20" rear wheels at all on their site for the 992.
