Default Lukewarm Heated GT Steering Wheel

Anyone with the Heated GT Wheel noticing that it barely warms, or is mine an anomaly?

I touch the (hidden) switch and the "on" notification comes up in one of the right dials - so I know that the switch is working - but regardless of how long I drive (> 30min) I can just barely tell that there is any warmth in wheel and even at that I'm question whether it is working. Is this common/normal? Reading the "good to know" app - there seems to be no indication of level or adjustment for ambient temp that I can tell.

It works well in my 991.2 - it's warm within a couple minutes. I'd have the dealer take a look.

Agree. Mine hits the ‘goldilocks’ temp within two mins. You definitely know it is working.

The wheel in my 992 C4S gets so warm that I find myself turning it off after 5-10 minutes. It gets legit hot.

It's similar to the 991.2 but not as efficient as in the Cayenne.

Don't have it on my 992, but recently drove a Macan with heated steering wheel and it worked very well.....and quickly! Have it checked out!

Thanks all. I was hoping to have a defect free car. Will have to find time to take it back in.

Heated steering wheel is standard in Canada...not so in U.S? Bummer.

Interesting - mine isn't that warm either, certainly cooler than the Panamera's used to get (as well as my other half's M140i).

Its already been back to the dealer for a PCM reset (erroneous error codes on the display, like PAS sensor 'soiled' at c.200 miles and reverse camera not working) and what appears to be the common Burmester door card rattle.

Will mention next time it's in.

It really does annoy me though that the answer from the service people is always - and I quote - "it's a 911, it's a handcrafted machine so you should expect little things like this".

They also tried to say that this - present when I picked it up brand new - is because "leather is a natural product".... idiots

I may have the Burmester door rattle as well. I’m trying to isolate the faint sound now. Feels like it is more from rear passenger area though.

There is also a “rattling” sound (like a loose exhaust pipe) from the engine when under load between 1 and 2K rpm. But I handily fix that by turning on sport mode and avoiding lower rpms.

Trying to collect as much as possible before first visit back to service.

So far mines been pretty amazing build quality wise, actually surprisingly...interested to see how it wears.

@sechsgang No doubt this is the best quality car I've ever purchased (Telsa, Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, ~Lexus) - I'm just a miserable perfectionist. Just by judging the fact that I'm dreaming/planning my next Porsche purchase already (this was my first) I'm clearly pleased.

Definitely a common problem - on UK cars it's the passenger door card, on US/EU it'll be the drivers door. There is no mistaking it - sounds like there is something in the door pocket and is an easy but vital fix.

I had a couple similar annoyances on my 991.2 TT dash when it was delivered. P*ssed me off. Also after my car was shipped across the country brand new, the driver's seat looked like it had been sat in 200 times. Side bolsters all "worn in". Fabulous. Next new car I get, I will be picking it up AT THE DEALER.
