Looking for advice from those with firsthand experience of non-PTV C2 performance in the winter. Can it be done with a good set of snows?
I’m worried uphill starts will be much like my former RWD BMW F30 with its open differential on Sottozeros, which left much to be desired in the hills of New England.
Perhaps the 60/40 vs 50/50 distribution will help?
Thanks for the insight :-)

Winter tires are a must, but be warned that they have been very hard to come by this season as Porsche appears to have bought most of the stock for their official wheel sets.

Man I wish we could get some Nokian Hakkapellita's for these cars. I have a set of studded Hakka 9's on my BMW 750i xDrive and that thing is unstoppable. I'm not a fan of studded tires, but these tires are amazing.

I’m pretty sure it will be good with winter tires. My C2S just arrived to my dealer this week. Delivery planned next tuesday with -16°C (3°F) forecast. I can’t wait to get it!

I'm pretty sure it will be good but, leaving in Milan and going to the mountains often, I opted for 4s.
Moreover I feel safer with 4WD but this is a paranoia of mine

I found the following thread in the 996 forum: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...ntial-lsd.html
If the 992's LSD operates in the same way as the 996 (does it?), the speculation was "The street car LSD will lock up only when the car is driven hard, and then only [when] the forces are greatest--probably when the car is well through a turn."
So, with regard to the LSD's effectiveness in low power uphill snow starts... this leads me to believe it will not lock up, at least not mechanically. Maybe the electronics will help?

You can literally drive anything in the winter with the proper tires.
