Default Dipping of side mirrors

One annoying thing I can't seem to get to work is the mirrors to dip when the car is in reverse. In the PCM I have "ticked" the option to dip the side mirrors, but it never works. What am I doing wrong? Appreciate any help.

Is this the same as the older cars? If so, assuming you have seats with memory (dipping only works when you do) then you need to select reverse and then set the mirror to the desired angle - oh, and save your settings. Then when you select reverse it will remember.

Does this feature only work on specific builds? I’m assuming this isn’t a stock feature but I have the folding side mirrors with which I think are lane assist change? Not sure if it’s lame assist but the side mirrors light up when a car is next to it. I haven’t noticed the mirrors move in reverse. Perhaps I don’t have this feature

You need to store your settings with the car in reverse and your mirrors adjusted how you like them.

No, only if the car has memory seats (14 or 18-way)

I had this problem too and there is a specific sequence you need to follow for the system to learn what you want -- ie how far to dip the mirror. I actually had to take it to the dealer and they showed me how. The key step I was missing was "pausing". First, enable the auto dipping feature. Then put the car in reverse and adjust the mirror to dip as far as you want. Then wait a few seconds and don't do anything else. It should then remember this setting next time you go into reverse. I hope I remebered that correctly -- it was the waiting a few seconds that I wasn't doing.
