Does anyone think there will be major refresh changes by the time 992.2 rolls around including removal of that single horizonal brake light and the misaligned front fascia hoodline?

The hoodline actually matches up with the older cars, so I wouldn't expect a change there.
(IMHO, the 992 looks more classic "Porsche" than the 991 nose -- the headlights are fully surrounded by the fenders and the hood has the notch.)
Every Porsche now has the single horizontal taillight and the Taycan has it as well -- of course, the 911 has the best one, because it isn't broken up.
My 992.2 thoughts...

My 992.2 thoughts...
- Easy ones to predict -- take these to the bank
- New headlight design, with four rectangles instead of four circles in each housing, like the Taycan. Porsche always changes up the headlight internal structure to date the older cars.
- Front/rear bumpers/fascia will get tweaks. License plate may move up ala sport design. Front will likely get some of the Sport Design elements as well.
- Before anyone jumps on it, given that the Taycan has the same pop-out door handles, I wouldn't expect those to go away either. They'll likely to trickle down to the other Porsche models.
- All signs point to yes -- somewhat confirmed already
- I fully expect that the 992.2 will have particulate filters globally, for all variants. Porsche has indicated so much and this is part of their "going green" efforts. Mild power increase to address the hit in power from the particulate filters.
- The 911 is going to end up with the Taycan's much more powerful PCM, including InnoDrive features and native Apple Music support.
- Somewhat speculative, but likely
- Super-capacitor-based hybrid available to deliver an extra boost without the weight of a battery -- will be slotted above Turbo cars
- Carrera T announced bringing 7 speed manual to base engine

I think Detansinn hit in on the nose. I do think people that are waiting for a 992.2 might be unpleasantly surprised with the particulate filters. Sure, they'll probably tune the ECUs to make up some of the power but the sound & experience will take a hit. With the hybrid versions being the focus, and likely extremely expensive, I wouldn't expect a major refresh otherwise.

Nah, too much of a change for a .2 refresh. The headlight and bumper detansinn mentioned is much more likely.

Porsche already mentioned that the 992.1 Turbo will have particulate filters in the US market, so I think you can take this prediction to the bank.

I am guessing the 992.2 Turbo will get the 992.1 Turbo S engine with 640 hp, while the 992.2 Turbo S will be a e-Hybrid at ~700 hp. The branding will align with the Panamera and Cayenne Turbo S e-Hybrids.
Carrera T announced bringing 7 speed manual to base engine
I do wonder if they will try to move the Carrera T upmarket by pairing a manual with the 718 GT4 4.0L NA engine.

Porsche doesn't do any major changes between models much less with in a model... I'd expect some slightly different body color parts outside and maybe an update to some technology inside... but it will look 95% the same as the 992. And..... you'll be waiting until 2024 to see it.

Jeeez...we have only just got started with the release of the 992.1 model range (still to come Targa, Turbo, Turbo S, GTS, GT3 and GT3 RS) and you are already speculating on 992.2. What a waste of time and energy.

I don't think it's too early for OP to talk about the carrera base and s model refresh. Turbo front and rear will still be similar for 992.1
