Thoughts on RY as a color?

Thoughts on RY as a color?
RY seems like one of the less frequently seen colors.
I’d love to see photos of any of them out there, and get some ideas about interiors. Are you pretty much limited to black?
RY S with the aerokit is really calling to me.

So it feels like the "louder" colors like RY, GR and MB will age better - think about when you see a 993 in colors like these... it still feels fresh as opposed to black, silver, white which starts to look older. Having said that, I still ordered in Jet Black because I didn't have the ***** to show up to work in a yellow 911...

Me too. That's what I have on order with black beige interior. It's a sports car and should get your attention! I think black interiors disguise the details that I like to easily see. My guards red Cayman with sand beige full leather at 35000 miles looks like new and 90% of my driving is in blue jeans.

I prefer interior colors other than black although I elected to go with full black leather for my build. I thought it played better with the yellow belts and gauges than other options. I almost selected chalk/slate interior but I have pebble on my daily driver Macan GTS and wanted a contrast between the 2 cars.

I think RY is an exceptional color, especially contrasted with black accents. My 981 BS was in MM, which was gorgeous, but also decidedly understated. Going the other way w/the 992 (ordered hopefully this month as my dealer says they as yet have no MT allocations). I do agree black is the only real interior option. Embrace it!

I love Racing Yellow. It’s at the top of my list as I’m considering my 992 specs. Bonus: it’s one of the few colors Porsche will actually give you for free. I had a GT3 in Racing Yellow and thought it looked great. Got lots of compliments.

It's a nice colour, make sure you black out everything and PALEEEEEEZE don't get a red interior. I think I liked speed yellow a bit better, slightly less lemony. I wish porsche had stuck with that for their yellow.

I kind of figure that if I’m going to have the ***** to show up at work in a 911, I might as well go whole hog and make it a yellow one. With a fixed wing.
I love the yellow deviated stitching look of the 718 GT4 interior, but it seemed like too big of a spend at 3k for the 992. Not sure if chalk stitching would work, or should just stay with a fully black interior.

Racing Yellow is an amazing color! I came from a 991.2 T and previously had a 991.1 S, both RY. My 992 on order is Adventurine Green, although I still have RY in the back of my mind. Build doesn't lock until 2/2, so I have time to flop. But ultimately, I'm ready to have a new color just for some variety.
