The F-pace SVR is a REAL value contender there...I've never been impressed with any of the velar's...and I've been a rover guy for forever short of my current Urus. Took an Fpace SVR out a few weeks ago and WOW, did that thing put up a hell of a purchase argument...obv the interior won't be as sharp as the Velar but not sure it needs to be with all that performance and overall comfort haha.
Regardless, whatever we get will have painted side skirts and no cheap black plastic.

My wife thought the F Pace SVR seats were too hard so it is not an option since she will drive it more than me, but we both liked it after an extended test drive by ourselves without a salesperson (woo hoo!). And the 2020 Velar will get the same V8 for that year only.

Yeah, definitely a point about the seats...and they don't have heating or cooling either. LOL, painted always the way to go!

I went with the full SD package and side skirts. Besides just looking better all around, love the 10mm lower ride height. Mine is a C2S cab in Carrera White with grey interior. Pics to follow soon.

Side skirts are totally subjective.
The Sport Design skirts add the appearance of height/thickness to the car while also making it appear lower — this is good or bad depending upon what you want. They also are magnets for rock chips and other paint damage. So, if you do get them, you will want them PPF’d so that they look good and not so weathered
Personally, I prefer the standard side skirts.

Unpainted bits on the front, rear and sides of the car (i.e. no SD, no side skirts) are the way to go IMO for a DD where the car will see gravelled and snow/slush covered roads. There's enough black on the other regions of the car (tires, mirrors, window trim) that unpainted lower bits look fine. Personally,I like the utilitarian look, with the added benefit that replacement parts are less expensive. If a car isn't a DD used in bad weather and on bad roads, it's easier to make a case for lowered stance of painted SD and skirts.
