On the fence about side skirts?!

I kept coming back to side skirts when finalising spec, and at the last minute didn't. I've sort of regretted it ever since, and asked my OPC to quote for retro-fitting.
In the UK they are a c.£750 option; the quote has now come back @ £1,440 incl. VAT.
So, if you are on the fence, I would say definitely tick the option in the first place!

I was on the fence too. And I came to a conclusion after getting input from my family and the forum as well.
If youre doing a sport design front fascia, the side skirts go well with that look. IMO
If you are going with a standard front fascia, then you can go with or without them. The car looks good either way
I went sport front with side skirts. I just prefer the painted bottom over the black plastic

Yeah dammit I wish I'd spec'd them now! I know they go hand in hand with the SD package (front, back or both) but as mentioned above, I think they work with the standard bumpers too.
Anyway, just thought I'd share the information in case its helpful to any of you.
Happy spec'ing

I think they look great! I went with side skirts, SD front and bone stock rear end to keep that nasty license plate down between the pipes where it belongs.

Funny there was a thread a while back where everybody was saying they liked the more contoured look of NOT having the sideskirts.
For me they are a must, but I get the decision not to include them as well.

I remember that thread. I believe the conflict in opinion had to do more with the visual line flowing from the front to the rear would be disrupted with getting side skirts. Changing the look of the car. Which I dont see lol

Count me among the skirtless! To my eye, that voluptuous line between the wheels is what makes a 911. You can toughen up any car with skirts, but a 911 doesnt need them. Ok, Im done.

IMHO they are a necessity on this car, they make it look wider and lower, which honestly is never a bad thing haha. If you want streamlined...buy a 964
Disclaimer:car looks amazing without them too haha.

On my 991.2 I had the skirts and rear valance factory painted and the front lip painted when I got the car - the less black plastic the better, and as previously stated it really does make it look lower.

The F-pace SVR is a REAL value contender there...I've never been impressed with any of the velar's...and I've been a rover guy for forever short of my current Urus. Took an Fpace SVR out a few weeks ago and WOW, did that thing put up a hell of a purchase argument...obv the interior won't be as sharp as the Velar but not sure it needs to be with all that performance and overall comfort haha.
