Default Rear seat legroom

Hi there...new to this forum and thinking about getting a 992 cabriolet. Finally convinced my wife that it’s a practical car!😀. Does anyone know what the rear seat legroom is on the 992 cab? I’ve searched everywhere and there is no info on how many inches in legroom the rear seats have. I have 2 kids, age 10 and 12 years old and below average height for their age. My wife is 5’ 3”, and I’m 5’ 10”, so I’m wondering if all 4 of us would fit in the car. Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Not sure if the rear space in the cab is different from the coupe but my 12 year old son could just barely fit into the rear. He's average height. Wasn't very comfy for him but short trips shouldn't be an issue. Long trips would be a different story, I'm sure! It also depends on how far back the front seats are positioned. Hope this helps!

That information is intentionally hard to find to thwart spousal/partner research. LOL

I am 5'9", my wife is 5'2". Our 16 year old and 11 year old fit fine in the back seat of my C4S. Given that you guys aren't tall either, I am going take a stab that your 10 and 12 year olds will fit fine. :P
The Cabrios do have a little less room, so, it may make sense just to visit your Porsche dealer and climb in.

6’3” with 34” inside leg. Wrist draped over top of wheel and elbows just in front of rib cage when adjusted as I like it. No meaningful room for a 6 year old unless I move forward.

this is very helpful. I understand that the cab rear seats are more upright vs the coupe. Thank you!

The cabs feel way smaller in the back (targas even worse... whenever those come to the 992). I squeeze my 11 and 8 year old boys in my 991.2 all the time and as far as we’ve seen, the difference isn’t appreciable if there is any. I’m effectively 6’ and the boys are tall for their age. It’s tight. But they love cars so they put up with more than most.

I have a Macan and regret every day not getting a 911. Don’t be me. When your kid turns 16 and drives the 911, all will be forgiven. My kids are 12 and 9 and complain about the Macan rear leg room so might as well have them complain about the 911.

I have a 12/11/9 y/o. With the 12 in the passengers seat (he’s 5’6) and 11y/o behind him (she’s about 5’) and 4’10 9 y/o behind me at 6’3 it’s barely doable and uncomfortable for me how far forward I have to have the seat. This is a coupe. Passenger side works ok for kids.

Don't expect to seat 2 chicks in the back from a night out at the clubs.

But for storage of non humans it's freaking great.

I may be crazy but I'm hoping that the rear seats are actually usable for us. The 992 will be my practical/family car after 3 years of owning a Macan and very rarely using the rear seats. The complicating factor is that I am 6'6" and my wife is 5'10" so there isn't a ton of room in those little vestigial rear seats. At least our kids are little (20 months and 2 months right now). My wife also has a Cayenne so that's the real family vehicle but if we need to split up with one kid each, the 992 will have to do...

Haha - I remember taking 3 girls in my dad's 996 TT when I was in college. Somehow we all fit! (It was a very short drive though)

Biggest problem with kids that age is that you aren’t getting their seat or carrier out of the back seat without waking them up. It’s something that you don’t think about until you have lived through it. When my 20 year old was an infant, my 2 door BMW became unpopular pretty quickly, because you couldn’t get her out of the back without waking her up.

If driver and passenger are under 5”, no problem. Average humans in front, them forgetaboutit anyone over 5 in the back.

That's a good point. The hope is that with my wife's Cayenne for serious kid duty, the 992 will only be occasional short trips with kids and they won't be sleeping or require the full complement of kid stuff that would never fit in the frunk.

My daughter really enjoys riding in the sports cars including the 2 seaters!
