The Taycan has leather & Race Tex options only.

Unclear if the 4S Standard interior has leather seat centers, they may just be cloth or fake leather (not Sport Tex).

But there is no way to spec Sport Tex on a Taycan that I know of.

I think it's funny I saw it first person, and yet people on forums still don't see it.

Is the "sport-tex" seat centers of the Taycan the same material as the checkered Sport-tex offered in the 911?

Oh I see. Weird. The bolsters are Race Tex but the seat centers do look like Sport Tex.

It doesn't say that anywhere on the configurator but it does look kind of like it. Kind of different, though.

Your best bet is still to try Sport Tex but I'd wager it's similar. Let us know if you're able to get more info, I'd be surprised if many people have seen that Taycan interior in person. Best bet is probably to try and query PCNA but they don't like to give out details for some reason.

I'm glad you edited that. I thought for a second I was losing my mind.

My first thought was, "so the headliner is going to look like the seat centers?" That'd look terrible

Yes, racetex is the seat option, but that is just for the surrounding bolsters & headrest. The seat centers are a cloth/grippy design layout.

Headliner & bolsters in Race-tex... seat center material?

I don't technically need to know exactly what material it's made out of, but I was hoping someone who has felt the Taycan seats at some point, can confirm if it feels the same as the checkered sport-tex in the 911. Reason being... the feel of the Taycan seats were great! So if it's anything close to that, Sport-Tex is the way to go.

Yeah, I gotcha. That's weird as hell, honestly. I can only imagine someone is going to order thinking they're getting Race Tex centers (like every other Alcantara/Race Tex seats) and surprise!

I've sat in the Sport Tex 992 seats for a few hours and if you like more soft, cloth feeling seat centers you're going to like them. Obviously it'll be a little different than those Taycan seats due to leather bolstering, but the centers are probably a similar, if not the same or nicer, material. I also like the 18 way 992 seats much more than the 14 way Taycan seats.

I'm not sure if anyone has sat in both since they're both rare options, so just giving my input having at least experienced the Sport Tex.

Thanks for posting these, darkknight26. Excellent quality photos. Gorgeous looking seats, and the optional stitching makes them pop.

I too changed more order yesterday to Sport Tex. My order locked today! Scheduled for production 7/24 but unlikely to actually be built before August break.

I think just the opposite, they look pretty close to the Porsche exclusive type of stuff that you’d see on a 50th anniversary 991.

...and they aren’t cheap to buy, either. It added another $2800 for the 18-ways (vs 14-way) and leather seat backs. Then I had to add the carbon fiber trim and steering wheel
to match.

I did the same with carbon fiber. I'm trying to decide whether or not to pony up the $1900 for the leather seat backs.
