It's fine but you need to be ok with not having the smooth leather feel there, and also it may cause itches after some time driving. Also, stains and you're doomed.

Anything can stain, including leather. I've never had a problem with Sport-Tex and definitely no itching. I've spilled coffee on the seats of my 991.2 several times and it wiped right off with a damp cloth.
Weird. Fabrics have typically been a sign of higher-end performance P cars when you get to the sports/supercar level - leather is just too slick. And alcantara has it's place, but with Porsche, these kinds of fabrics have been the norm. Mid-high-end = leather, high-high-end = mix/fabrics.
^ Can we get a shot from a different angle, please? Maybe better lighting, too.
First thing - ignore the guy plastering this forum with pictures of 'his Chevy' crap interior. Cray weird. The Porsche Sport Tex option with full leather is great looking, retro, and great in terms of long-term durability. For hot/cold climates it's a plus too. Also, one thousand percent ignore the Chevy troll (the guy that has posted his pic of a trashy Chevy interior to all of these forum threads,,,weirdo).

Woah woah woah! These are real Sport-Tex seats.
I suggest taking your own advise. You’re the only one getting upset with me comparing sh*t company truck cloth seats to Porsche Sport-Tex seats.
OK, you've WON!! We all believe you; Porsche's Sport Tex is crap...we're with you now. You've won us over and surely with a sound assurance that Sort Tex will never be ordered again in a 911 by anyone sound of mind. Going to post another pic of that Chevy? Yikes

Wow I really hit a nerve lol!!
I guess you don’t know what the point of a forum is. If you don’t like my opinion. Feel free to IGNORE IT!

No it's not you, it's me - I have been completely misgiven by the thought that posting opinions to a forum was intended to add value to a discussion. I've been misguided, but I'm not a Chevy guru and find myself in a lowly Porsche forum, so go easy. You are certainly correct in that Porsche's Sport Tex, if anything, is insulting to the brand, and clearly not on par with a Chevy product. Thank you. And WTF???
