Picked her up yesterday and took the entire family for a drive down the coast today. Epic day on 17 Mile
Drive. Family approves of the ride, even my 5’9” son along with his sister in the back seat. Super happy with the car.
Lovely, congrats! Are you liking the ceramic brakes in daily use?

Thanks! Yes, actually brake feel and performance are very important aspects for me. Absolutely love the feel and modulation with the ceramics. Only 240 miles so far but did get a 1.19G test threshold stop 😊. Certainly, for me, well worth the upgrade. So far, very quiet too - no squeaks.
GoBruins- love it. Targa4 is my unicorn but I think it will be a while until I can get an allocation. I love the black bar. Causing me to rethink my T4 build which was GT+Truffle. I struggled with the contrast between the silver and the bar, but black bar solves it and looks better than it does on the configurator. Well done!
Is the interior black or graphite blue? It’s hard to tell. If GB would love some interior pics. If I go Dolomite I think I like the pairing with Graphite Blue.

Thanks @Gohoos . It's my unicorn too! The interior is Sport-Tex. It only comes in black, and is great to look at and very comfortable. However, if ventilated seats is your thing, you can't do it with Sport-Tex. My Targa is dolomite, which I think is such a rich and deep color. I toyed with graphite blue, but decided I liked my choice better. Make sure you see graphite blue in person. It is much bluer than the configurator, which looks more like a blue/gray.
If you go dolomite, you need to get the black bar. The silver bar is perfect for GT Silver, which has some earthy tones to it, but not for dolomite, which is more on the blue/Arctic side of things.
GB with truffle is a great color combination too. Lots of great colors and what you like is what you like, no matter what anyone else tells you.

Thanks. Would love to see sportex pics when you get a chance. That is definitely one I am considering as well. I love the look but not having to pay extra $ to cover the backs.

Right now, the car is getting PPF done. But here's one for you to look at. The rest will have to wait until I get it back.
Just like mine on the outside--GB, Classic wheels with colored center caps, red calipers, no SPASM, and standard quad tips. The only difference is that I have the standard "911 Carrera S" emblem on the back, clear side markers, and Chalk/slate interior. Beautiful car--enjoy!
You let her drive???????????????????????????????????
siberian
It's her car. She daily drove her 997 all year round for 10 years. I taught her how to drive a manual gearbox in a parking lot in Queens, NY when we were dating in 1978. The car was a 1978 Alfa Spider. Since then, she's had a Fiats, Porsches, BMWs and a Mustang - all with manual gearboxes. Gotta love a "car guy" wife.

Thanks. I'm ordering clear side markers today. Had them on all of my recent 911s.

Great looking car. My wife loves cars too. I knew she was a keeper when I found out she could drive a manual transmission. Even back in the early 90’s, many people weren’t learning this skill.
