I have s 2022 Carrera Cabriolet and want to plug the sound symposer ports preferably from the inside. Has anyone located the ports where they enter car? I tried to plug from the top of the engine bay but the Cab is quite a bit different looking than the the photos shown here. The passenger size composer hose is visible but access is very restricted. I am assuming that the ports are behind the rear seat/storage area. Any guidance on removing the panel would be appreciatted.
I have the same issue with a 992 turbo S cabriolet. Access to the engine bay is severely restricted and I cannot even see the symposer tubes. Has anyone plugged those from inside the vehicle on a cabriolet? Could you let us know what panels you had to remove?

The 992 Turbo models do not have sound symposer from factory, as I believe the space is taken up by the ducts that feed fresh air down to the exhaust flap motors. I have yet to see any Turbo's equipped, so if you don't see the piping then I guarantee you don't have it.
This is the engine bay of a 992 turbo, and the circles indicate where sound symposer ports would be located if equipped:
Basically, if you have a Turbo, you do not have to worry about sound symposer. If you have anything else, just look for the two hoses that go into the locations mentioned in the picture. Simple as that. Hope this helps!

Reason: add picture
To each his own, but I can not see why anyone would go to this extent to get rid of the sound symposer's sound delivery into the cabin when all that is really necessary is removing the tubes from the firewall and plugging them appropriately.. Takes all of 10 minutes to accomplish and is easily and quickly reversed..

Those who are modding/upgrading to an CSF or do88 performance intercooler and/or turbo outlet/ic inlet pipes would find this video very helpful. Video is great IMHO. It also helps members understand the process better so they can make an educated and informed decision whether they want to disconnect it or not. So, big thank you to Jon and Flat 6 Motorsports for producing and posting. Excellent explanation for removing the wing/spoiler assembly and tailights the right way preparatory to a rear bumper removal too. You guys are excellent RL supporters.
We're going to work on a solution that doesn't require removing the wing assembly for folks that just want to plug everything instead of removing the entire symposer assembly, more to come.
That would be more appealing. I kept my exhaust on quiet with this thread in mind and didn't notice intake noise of note, I think this system is pretty mild relative to some I've had (ahem, 718).

I 100% agree with Fullyield, this video is fantastically organized and it's clear that Jon and Flat 6 Motorsports went the extra mile to help enthusiasts -- it's among the best install videos I've seen for the 992 and is useful for many other install types. Thank you & well done!
A few questions: does removing the 2 symposer boxes (as opposed to just plugging the hoses) result in the further cabin sound reduction, and what is the overall impression for improvement in cabin noise after this delete?
