Default First 911.

So here we are. My first 911. Quick weekend review.

Things I love.
PDK. 8 gears just work.
Engine. So much power.
Sport Exhaust. No filters. Yay.
Shape. 991 looks 8 years old. 992 feels fresh. Hood and rear end look way better.
Gentian blue.
Partial leather package is good.
Comfort access. Works from 4 feet away.
PDLS Matrix. Look sharp
Seats. Go so low and are comfy. 14 way.
Ride is comfy on both suspension modes.
Interior build quality.
Rear bar light

Things that need improvement or dislike.
PCM. Still messy but cleaning it up.
Burmester might be a dud. Door also rattles.
Porsche connect. Where are the severs?
Badging says S not 4S. This was hilarious. Will be fixed.
Auto start stop. Have to turn it off everytime. Tried to make it a shortcut button.
Gauges. Can't see last two.
Front Bumper, should have included sports bumper.
Rear bumper has to much black plastic.
Ambient lighting. Ripoff for $600.
Cup holder. Too tight for grande Starbucks. old school was better.
Wish I had rear steering.

Things reviewer hate.
Nubbin. It works with the design.
Hood exposed over wipers. Like it as well.
Car is too big? It feels small to drive.

Other than the burmester, this car is dope. No regrets.

How did the badging get messed up? My parents had a 1970s dodge aspen that said dodge on one side and plymouth on the other. It’s almost 2020, you’d think they’d know the difference between an S and 4S.

I will report back on my Burmester experience , I already know one speaker needs to be replaced before even taking delivery.

The car looks fantastic. I optioned rear axle steering. Congratulations.

Why does your bashing say S instead of 4s? There is a 4s badging.
And I agree that the ambient light is a complete rip off. I saved those bucks as the dealer told me it was.
mother than that you have a beautiful car.

Not sure how badging got messed up at factory? But it's an easy fix.

Let me know when you get your car RHR. I'd like to listen to your burmester to compare. The dealership demo has Bose.

Next step is to buy winter tires.

The traverse option. Was cheaper than Porsche with unlimited Kms.

They should’ve charged you the S price instead of 4S My replacement speaker is probably a few weeks out , but we can compare when that’s in. Too bad about ambient lighting, I ordered that. I should have my car in about a week, I’m going to wait for the PPF install before delivery and the paint repair should be done around Wednesday/Thursday. I’m beginning to think the paint issue could be a factory defect, it doesn’t look like impact damage to me, more like something melted the paint or touched it before it was cured.

Lovely car and great mini-review!

I agree the PCM is messy and hard to configure to my liking - the UX is not great. Generally leave it on CarPlay but it only fills 2/3 of the screen. Also the incredibly limited options for the instrument cluster (two 7" screens and 4 dials and you can hardly do anything with them) is frustrating - hopefully software updates will allow more flexibility including more compressed overlapping dials if desired. Sorry to hear about your Burmester - I have the Bose and it is adequate (mostly listen to audio-books). The nubbin was not an issue for me either - sitting in the car it just fades away whereas in pics it has center stage. Also agree the "giant cupholder" is a dud - can't hold my 20oz water bottles - and just revert to the big cubbyhole. But the car is a dream to drive - every journey puts a smile on my face, more than any other car I have owned.

Please post more pics...

Would love to see how they managed it with the ACC camera below. Awaiting my delivery in Toronto and thinking about the tow hook for the plate.

What is a traverse financing?

Lots of room underneath the plate. Yes its drilled in but it doesn't bother me.

Traverse is another lease finance company other than Porsche Finance. (cheaper)
