PASM Vs SPASM Comfort/Appearance
I ordered a 992 C2S specifically without SPASM due to the appalling roads in this part of PA next to the Delaware River (massive potholes, badly surfaced minor roads, tree branches and debris everywhere after storms etc). Also my driveway is difficult and the entrance into my garage has a large lip that caused our old Tesla to bottom out regularly when reversing out (this last item is being addressed with a new driveway in a few months time).
Having now driven my 992 for 300 miles I have come to the conclusion that my fears were unfounded and I should have got SPASM. The PASM has easily coped with everything I have challenged it with including recently dug up roads with awful ridges on entry/exit. It seems the 1600lb heavier and vastly more softly sprung Tesla was a bad comparison re suspension and ground clearance. SPASM - even whilst making the car 0.4" or 10mm lower - would have managed the same without need for Front Axle Lift. I love the connectedness and feel and lack of roll due to PASM and would be happy with more of this via SPASM... I will keep this in mind for my next 911.

Unless you've got a particularly steep driveway entry, the 911 doesn't need a front-end lift. Even when things are steep, just approach it from an angle and you'll be fine.
Approach them from an angle and you'll be fine. The angled design of the standard front bumper/splitter gives you a lot of room to work with -- it's possible that the Design piece may scrape with its different shape. Having driven very low cars in the past, the 911 is a breath of fresh air.
I live in Bucks County and River Road is especially garbage between Dilly's and Tinicum. I just take Dark Hollow Rd and join up with the river further north.

And yes it seems I should have got SPASM and wouldn't need FAL - the car is pretty comfortable and copes with things better than I expected. I will do this for my next 911 (will add RAS too for good measure).
I have a 991.2 GTS with SPASM and my business partner has a 991.2 Targa without. We park next to each other everyday and you really can't notice the height difference unless you kneel down to be horizontal and really focus on the top of the guard and wheel.
From every other angle they appear to be the same height.

Saw and drove a 992S yesterday. The dealer had a coupe with SPASM and a cab without. The difference in how the tire filled wheel well was obvious to me.
The coupe I drove had SPASM. It was more supple and seems to corner with less lean in Sport mode than my 991.1 with SPASM (which feels "stiffer/sportier" but still quite acceptble).

I still can't figure out the difference between PASM and SPASM on a 992?
It doesn't show up on the configurator - is there really a difference?
My car has sport package (sports chrono, sport exhaust and pasm) - does that have SPASM?

It used to in the 3D view -- as it loaded (and presumably as you check or uncheck the option, although I never specifically tested that) it would visibly drop down to SPASM height, if you had SPASM checked, as the car initially rendered, right after it applied the exterior color -- but apparently they've changed that behavior and it no longer does so. (And it also now renders with the exterior color already applied, rather than applying it after the car appears.)
I have had SPASM on a 2013 C2S and the still "harder" GT suspension on my former 2019 GT3 Touring. I did not like SPASM at all and loved the Touring suspension. Go figure. On my 992 I passed on SPASM as this will be a DD for me; so, I prefer a little extra comfort over a 1 cm drop. My advice, if possible in this current world, drive both around town before you decide.
