Default Manuals might be a separate line.
Apparently they’re creating a special line simply called “911 GT” for the manual models; with slight power modifications. This is according to a source I know at P and is in no way official.

That would be realization of many people's fears...that Porsche will dilute the GT brand like BMW has with M, MB with AMG, etc. Will be sad if true...

Sadly, dilution of the GT brand has been in the works for a while already.

I'm guessing this means a price premium for the manual...which means I'll be getting mine out of province.

Well they already jumped the shark with Taycan JOKE Turbo, so nothing their marketing 'gurus' do will surprise me.
