Default 992S $140k??? Yikes! PAG is making big mistake.

If PAG thinks this thing will sell at those numbers which are an upsetting harbinger for GT pricing all I can say is “hello C8 Z06”

Porsche moved 718 production out of Stuttgart so they could expand 992 production to meet demand.

Really? $140k for a Carrera S?

Lol. Better someone else’s money than mine.

what about the TTS being more expensive than the Portofino? It's heavier too...

Yeah the prices are insane... but if you are like me and have a couple of kids that you have to take to school occasionally options get very slim.

The Taycan is overpriced by 20-30K as well. Gave up an allocation spot already.

I'm hearing a lot of "there's a lot of idiots with money out there" being thrown around... These "idiots" used to be called bigger fish.

This guy makes great videos. If only my 992 sounded half as good as his car.

True story. Porsche announced the plan in March. It's one of the reasons orders for non-GT4/Spyder 718s have not been taken for months. Production of the regular 718s is expected to resume next year.

Crazy money. But Porsche is one of the most profitable car brands in the world (per car). I want to say they were #1 for a long time but Ferrari surpassed them.

I am pretty sure there are $140k MSRP 2013 C2Ss floating around. Must compare identical build to see how much prices have increased. Agree with above. The brand has done well with profits!

I've seen a 198K MSRP 991.1 C4S. That's what happens when somebody with endless money literally ticks every single box possible on the online configuration.

My recently departed 991.2 C4S stickered over $140,000 when I bought it in the spring of 2016. My '87 Targa with absolutely no options would sticker for around $110,000 in today's dollars. Porsches have always cost more than Corvettes and other American muscle cars and less than Ferraris and other exotics.

If I would have ordered a C2S it would have been around 135k. When everything is optional it's not hard to run up the price. But I wasnt surprised.

You are buying a brand new, next-gen new Porsche 911. Price isnt the deciding factor for most 992 buyers.
