It's definitely not metal. It feels as the description says it is:

That's because the gas cap is not listed to fit the 992's per Porsche as of yet. If ya'll have confirmed that it does in fact fit, we'll certainly be happy to add it to that section. (It's Porsche part # 000-044-001-91, and currently found in the appropriate vehicle sections it is listed to fit.)

I bought the 991 cap. It fits and doesn't throw codes. You're safe to add it, as the MY21's have it listed as an option now on the Porsche config.

curious .. do you have Rear wheel steering? Are they an issue for that?
