I put the AWE foilers on this week too. And yes... it makes a big difference. I drive with the window down all the time and the buffeting was really annoying!! These eliminate it about 90% of the time. Definitely a worthwhile mod.
I put them on the day after I got my car and am glad I did. You have to drive the HPDE's with the windows down and it made a difference in cabin comfort.
I believe @Z911 replaced the slats one by one; don't think laying some yellow or other color vinyl would pass close scrutiny nor last. Someone documented a mod like that some time ago. Looked pretty tedious to get to them.
Just my 2 cents

I know you are probably sarcastic, but I will seize the opportunity. I never thought the day would come when you would be wrong about something. I bought 1/8" vinyl off Amazon and taped it over every single one. You are not 100% wrong, if you look closely, you can tell it is vinyl, but I can tell you that no one at the Porsche 75 event spotted it.
The reason you pay an arm and a leg for any P or VAR accessory is the quality and look.
I didn't opt for the "leather" center steering wheel and just used some friction like red tape. It looks great, cost a fraction of a tenth of what P would have asked for the little leather piece, but you can tell it's not leather. Does it bother me? No.
How long the vinyl will last outside the vehicle is anyone's guess. I was just giving you the respect your posts generally garner. No sarcasm meant or intended. There was a guy called Tiger something who did a bunch of mods including changing the engine slats; it was a very cumbersome affair to get to them.

I did this to one of my steering wheels with gaffer's tape. I'm not sure if I used the wrong tape but when I took it off I was not happy with what it did to the wheel. Hopefully yours lasts forever

Long may they last!

Apologies, my sense humor didn’t come through in my post. Every interaction we’ve had you’ve been right (remember the turbo s wing in a 4S experiment I tried and failed?).
on the AWE foil install how hard ?...in the videos the clips on the door look tricky ...i hate removing clips
It's quite simple and not that big of a deal. I don't remember removing any clips to do the install. You have to remove the little triangle on the inside of the door near the mirror to get to the screw that holds the outside triangle piece which the AWE foiler replaces.

Yes the video actually makes it look simple, the trick is to pull the triangle up and rearward at the same time, not just up. I did not use a pry tool as I did not want to mar my interior. Just pull (strongly) the triangle upward and backward at the same time and it pops right out, then one t-hex bolt to r&r the foil. Re-assemble pushing the triangle forward and down at the same time as she snaps right back into place.
