Hehe. You should have seen the looks I used to get whenever I pulled it out with snow everywhere. Lots of neck snaps, phone recordings etc. Pretty much on par with what would happen when I'd pull out my new Aston Martin Vantage - which I was surprised about. I figured 911's are relatively common to Aston's so it wouldn't be that much but I guess people around these parts just get tired of seeing 'regular' cars over winter so anything of that nature grabs their attention.

I live in Florida so no snow here. I enjoy seeing videos of guys trying to drive in the snow with their sports cars

Haha. At least I don't have to worry about poisonous snakes and freaking alligators rolling up in my backyard - so I guess I don't mind the snow in contrast to that. Haha.

That being said, with winter tires and since mine is a C4S, it wasn't an issue at all. Even the RWD Aston is no issues to drive for the most part on most days. Of course if there's a blizzard or something then I have other vehicles for that use. Haha.

My backyard is the Atlantic Ocean. It’s the front yard you have to worry about. Mine is a C4S as well.

Having been to Florida a few times, it's definitely beautiful out there. And those clean roads sometimes make me wish I was driving year-round on that side of the world - but it is what it is, you gotta make the best of what you got I guess.

Aside from the elbow grease way of removing these, is there a tool that helps with removal. I just can get mine to pop out. I watched various YouTube videos, but no dice. Videos make it look easy. They really require some force to remove.

I used a plastic automotive trim tool. Wedged it into the front part of the side marker and it popped out. It was in there too tight for me to get it out just using the friction of my fingertips.

Ok, I’m sorry for the stupid question..When parked and lights off do the amber side markers reflect more light than the clear side markers?

Do you have kids?

If yes, borrow one of their toys like this suction cup ball.

I know I am in the minority but with my new Targa 4S in Carmine Red, the amber side markers look good on it. I have the clear side markers on my Meteor Gray 997 so I do go both ways!

This ended up working for me. With one exception, be careful using the tool when removing the clear markers, they are more delicate than the ambers. I got a tiny amount of separation of the clear plastic from the underside, at the point where I applied force with the tool. I shouldn't have messed with it once installed. Recommend not using a wedge tool for removing the clears.

I used a packing tape for traction and worked well. Pull toward the tire well and lift the rear part while pulling.
