I have the same wheels and noticed the same thing. The color and underlying sheen hide the dust well - until I wash the wheels and realize they look the best when clean. Overall though, the brake dust levels are high. For me, it’s worse for the rear. My understanding is it may have to do with constant individual wheel braking due to the stability control system.

Yup just like you said the wheels do look best clean, but the dust color "mixes" well with s.p.

Out of curiosity, if I leave PSM in sport or off would I see less brake dust? (Not a suggestion, I noticed I get slightly better highway mileage if I do that so wondering if there are other benefits)

Somewhat OT, but I replaced the rear rotors and pads on my Mini in June, and I noticed that the new rotors don't rust. Here are photos of the rusted stock front rotors and the rust-free PowerStop rotors that I put in the rear. Photos are from a couple of hours after washing the car. If non-rusting rotors are made, why aren't they standard on our cars?

The problem with "non-rusting" brake rotors is that they do not absorb or dissipate heat as efficiently as cast iron rotors do.

Sorry, but I can only find rears for my Base brakes. Are these for the "S" standard brakes?

what's weird I even checked the options for the S and for some reason no Hawks came up for me for the S. Just 3 types of fluid. Not sure if that a regional thing.

Try 2020 model year. I think their database needs updated.

Not sure what I am doing wrong but if I use 2020 nothing comes up for S and only rear for Base. What do you get for a 2020 Base?

I still haven't washed the car yet (since I posted the above photos). As you can see, it's now in need of a wash (will do today), but the wheels are certainly not the determining factor. Brake dust is just now becoming visible, but it's quite minimal even after several hundred miles.
