A few weeks ago Porsche ran an event in Road America where they invited people to drive a bunch of their cars. Of the cars there, the 992 was one of them and we were told we were some of the first non-employees to drive it in the country.

I only have 2 words to describe this car: aggressive and futuristic. I think if you like what you saw online, you're going to like even it more in person. But, of course, the sound was a bit lacking on the non-sports exhaust versions and I'm glad I specc'ed that on mine.

Early October allocation with an ETA in late January. Yes I’m in Northern California. Ended up going through Porsche of Livermore

I ended up getting a great deal! Awesome experience at the dealership today! Toured the facility and saved $5k. Couldn’t be happier!

is yours a 4S? because at Menlo Park (Carlson), I'm a mid October allocation and mid/late December delivery... seems like they should be the same. I think Bay Area dealers are finally starting to cave on price breaks.... and with me going over the top with options, he was happy to give me 5%

Carlsen only offered me 3%. They wouldn’t budge. But I got a better offer over at Livermore.

I was told it is possible to expect delivery in December, but I was given mid to late January, but that would be at the latest..

I was offered 3% initially...two weeks later, after the manager looked at the overall price of the car I'm ordering, he decided that 5% off 180K is better than 3% off a typical build 4S... and accepted it.

Livermore oddly, told me no.. go figure! Only other place I found would do 5% was Marin.

Well Marin offered me the same, and Livermore agreed to match it after initially telling me they aren't handing out any discounts on the 992's at this time; but I have family that know the GM at Livermore. So that may have been what pushed them to go the extra mile for me. And his dealership is closest to me.. so it definitely worked out! Can't wait for January!

I do have the base C2 on order though. I believe the C2S marketing of $16k+ for the same engine, just detuned; wasn’t for me..

I would just put a quality tune on it and flash it. Instant S power and even GTS power
