This last few generations the gt3 is narrow body and RS is widebody. With all 911s being widebody with the 992, what’s going to differentiate a RS from a gt3, is it just going to be a suspension and hp
package?

i guess we own the last narrow body gt3 now.
The production ready 992 TT/TTS will reveal much about how wide the GT3 and RS are vis-a-vis one another and how wide the the GT models are to the non-GT variants.

Can't imagine the penny pinchers at Porsche green lighting an entire new body chassis width size for just the GT models.

Do we need a 992 GT3RS? No. Do we want one? Yes.

Need a 992 RS in order to have a 50th anniversary 911RS.

Yes. Marketing claimed it reduced drag for both the 996 GT3 and the RS.

I would love it in a 6 speed though
I rather go a little slower and shift.

1. The RS is much more than just a wide body GT3.
2. Yes, we absolutely need an RS.

Don’t worry, there’s almost no difference in speed (3 seconds over 13 miles on the Nurburgring on .2 GT3). But pretty big difference in fun.
