Do we need a 992 gt3rs
Maybe this has been explained already, but I missed it.
This last few generations the gt3 is narrow body and RS is widebody. With all 911s being widebody with the 992, what’s going to differentiate a RS from a gt3, is it just going to be a suspension and hp
package?
i guess we own the last narrow body gt3 now.

The RS was never just a wide body GT3. It might end up sharing the same body dimensions, but you can bet that there will be a ton of differences with the RS that add up to a lot (stiffer suspension, light weight parts, more aggressive aero, etc).
Wasn't the 996 GT3 RS (the first RS) also a narrow body?

991.2 GT3 is as wide as C4GTS, so wide body. The front and rear tracks even slightly wider on the GT3 than the wide body carreras as well. Turbo is even wider, and what the RS get (so extra wide body).
My understanding is that there is no narrow body GT3, consistent with the specs on Porsche website.
Rear Widths
Narrow body Carreras - 71.5 in (rear track 59.8)
GT3 - 72.9 (rear track 61.2)
GTS and 4GTS - 72.9 (Rear track 60.8)
Turbo - 74 (Rear track 62.6)
RS- 74 in (rear track 61.3)

The GT3 has been based off the Carrera 4's wide body, while the RS has been based off the 911 Turbo extra wide body. The future GT3 will share the Carreras chassis and RS future 911 Turbo Chassis.

Always...great collection of current and past cars, we both have similar taste it seems...considering a Raptor as a daily...

The 991 GT3 was not narrow body. It was wide. Just not as wide as the RS (turbo body based).
The RS is not just a wider version of the GT3. Sure it's 90% (arbitrarily) the same car but that 10% makes the difference. Lighter components throughout, even the glass. Different suspension. More advanced aero and cooling. I'd argue the power difference is the LEAST impactful, considering you're getting an extra 20hp (4%) from basically the exhaust, cooling and maybe ECU.
It's one of those situations where the sum of the parts is greater than the whole. You put all of the above together and you have a different car, not just a wide-body version of the same.

Of course we need it

No. They built too many 991.2 gt3rs cars. Hopefully they wait for the 992.2 to do a gt3RS version. But in typical porsche fashion they will chase the money. They are afterall a business
