^ agreed.
I have an E86 Z4MC... last of the great inline sixes & a great drivers car.
And an E92 M3 with that awesome power train. great car once I removed close to 400 lbs out of it.

But since then BMW has seriously lost the plot.
Even the M2 Competion that everyone is so hot to trot about is seriously lacking IMO
Numb steering, too heavy (+3600lbs) and sounds like crap.
The "M" brand has been completely neutered by BMW marketing.

I'm done with BMW moving forward.

It feels and drives like a cheap riced out sedan with a bunch of bolt on parts, which is basically what it is. Poor damping, horrible steering and traction control vacillates between nonexistent to over intrusive usually at inopportune times. The car will not stay aligned and only BMW can align it meaning $450 a pop. I paid for 3 and now it is pulling to the right again.

I do not like the seating or the pedal position at all . . . its that whole cheap sedan thingy . . . and the car feels like driving a truck or tractor seating position wise when one is used to driving sports cars. The car is actually a bit squirrely as one approaches the limit and downright frantic at the limits. ZCP seats are incredibly uncomfortable and this is coming from a guy that has driven a Diablo 6.0, GT3s, Elise and other very stiff, harsh riding cars as commuters without a car in the world. I am constantly annoyed by the technology in it.

I got stuck with the dang thing between Septemberish up until about a week ago because they had a stop sell recall for the driveshaft, but BMW did not have any replacement parts available at all for 4 or 5 months. The car was financed through BMW financial and they would not provide a payoff to a dealer I trade to trade it to back in Septemberish and to Carmax when I tried to just sell it to them a few weeks ago.

After our I6 NA 530xi Wagon, I’m looking at our newer 4cyl 5-series turbo mule as a Lexus utility luxo-barge, perfect for traffic, highways, and long trips, and a dud for backroads. I gave up expecting sedans to drive like roadsters on backroads after I drove my first roadster. After that, “performance sedan” and “performance SUV” became oxymorons. If you want that roadster feel, just get a roadster. For traffic and highways, any quiet comfy luxo barge would do.

No matter what criticisms we give about the upcoming GT3 (weight, looks, etc), it is going to be amazing once everyone drives it. Porsche, yet again, won't be able to make enough to satisfy demand

Finally picked up an E92 M3 this past summer and it's very fun car. The NA engine is great and the hydraulic steering is worth its weight in gold. The chassis is very heavy however but I have more fun driving that car on the street than the 991.1 GTS.
My DD is a 2011 328xi with the NA I6 and I look forward to driving it each and every day.
The F generation is an abomination across the entire model line up. The farty turbo motors and electric steering are terrible. The suspension differences are night and day in favor of the E generation.

Here is an interesting article describing a kinematics and compliance test https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a1...-so-different/.

As for the 992 GT3, I wish it stays NA, with a hydraulic steering rack and vastly improved interior and exterior aesthetics.

E46 M3 was a great car.

Sorry if already discussed.

Do do we think that Porsche will have the touring pack on the 992 GT3?

Just asking as as it was a rumored to be a response to R speculation, so might not be a given.

Hope so, love the understated look of the GT3T. 👌🏻

no one knows anymore than you do. don't mistake forum speculation for knowledge, you just come here to play, not to actually KNOW things.

UNLESS... someone claims to have a cleaning lady, in which case, you should probably trust them.
