Very nice! Interesting how the configurator said the ornamental Porsche crest was no longer available? What will they replace it with?

My wife and I just put our name down for a 992 C4, and we have our order demand with comm#. I've seen several posts about wait times, but Canada literally just announced some new taxes on luxury cars over $100K that kick in on January 1st, 2022, and I would love to know if I'm going to be paying an extra $10-15K in taxes when the car arrives.

Obligatory high-level specs below:

Chalk
Carrera S wheel - Satin Black
Black Interior with Paldao Trim
Premium Pack
Sport Pack

Thanks in advance for any info!
Looks like a great build! Chalk and black S wheels looks great together. I can't wait to see the Paldao in a black leather interior. Sounds nice. Now sit back for 6 months and wait. Lol!

Not long ago (2017/2018), the ornamental crest was listed as a separate, no cost line item on the Build Sheet, but never shown as an option to include or delete (no surprise) on the configurator. Was never clear why it was mentioned at all, but maybe they're going back to that scheme. I cannot imagine Porsche selling their cars without the crest front and center.

Thanks, I haven't seen Paldao IRL so I'm hoping it looks as good as the pictures! Fingers crossed, it's 6 months to get to the dealer and not to lock.

Do you guys know if Porsche is still sending out pictures of the car during production? Im sure it will help to ease the wait a little bit 😎

What is your expected production months? If it is 2021 delivery then you should be fine.
I'm waiting for a Targa 4S allocation and was told the next batch of allocation will be summer 2021 production as 2022 model.
If my delivery date gets dragged to 2022 then I will reconsider.

Check your TYD link. Under view production stage. It magically appears without any rhyme or reason. Good luck!

So it sounds like you will be getting it produced before June! That's awesome - did you order the ventilated seats btw? Someone is spreading rumors that they are on hold for four months and just trying to verify.

I got mine - about 10 days after car was produced. https://my.porsche.com, then click on Discover current phase - and then this

Which is more accurate, Discover current phase or Track your Dream? According to Discover current phase my car is scheduled for production, TYD says the car arrived at Emden today. I certainly hope TYD is correct. Anyone know the average amount of time the cars wait for a ship? Certainly getting excited at the moment they are saying end of May at my dealer.

Track Your Dream is more accurate - the "discover current phase" lags and there are fewer milestones there. How long your car waits at Emden is variable and depends on the timing of your car's arrival and the next ship that will be stopping at your port of entry in the US. According to the published schedule the Goodwood is next in to Emden that will be stopping at Davisville, RI. Right now the Goodwood is in the English Channel and is due in to Emden on April 22. Assuming your car gets on the Goodwood, your timing is looking pretty good.
